Bananas can be deceiving. The skin can turn black before the fruit goes bad if they've been kept in cool storage. Anyway, a mushy banana can still taste good if it isn't tooo mushy.
with apples just check if there is a little brown bark growing at the stalk, if not then it isn't quite ripe and will taste a little sour, if there is its just right unless its soft as he saiz ^^
Hmm, Banana's were selectively bred to be best for human consumption. Why can't they breed some banana's that stay ripe for longer? I figure it's because you wouldn't buy as many banana's to make up for the banana's that went black too quickly, and so they gain more money the shorter the amount of time the banana's stay ripe.
