  • Whatever you thing Schumacher is the true rain-master. It's a big joke some people are always trying to put the things as if it wasn't for Schumacher pure class but because of the car. Get over it and face the facts.

  • schumacher stepped in the spare car after a talk whit brawn, that was set up for rain....thats why he is winning this race.....

  • @villeneuve2fast4you

Ahahahah!! xD yea right, the car made it ;)

    1. Michael is the undisputed rainmaster by most experts, like Murray walker.

    2. Michael had the same pace as Hill (intermedias) with SLICKS!

    3. Check out 1996 Spanish GP.... Michael going with fishtail/sliding and corrects the car

five-six times in every corner ! (2 seconds) according to the telemetric data.

    4. F - U

  • @villeneuve2fast4you

    2. Michael had the same pace as Hill (intermedias) with SLICKS!

    3. Check out 1996 Spanish GP.... Michael going with fishtail/sliding and corrects the car

five-six times in every corner ! (2 seconds) according to the telemetric data.

    4. Please tie a snare

  • @hlidskjalf666 well the driver doesnt make a 7 sec difference per lap. at least 6 of the 7 secs are the car. im the biggest schumcher fan but still the driver is not so important any more

  • @MrBusunglueck - In wet conditions the driver can make all the difference. That's why the best drivers are generally rain masters..

  • @Anime998877 but not 7 secs. 1 or 2 secs maybe

  • @MrBusunglueck - When it's raining hard, all the drivers are careful but there are some who have a 6th sense of where the grip is so every corner they take faster than normal which over a lap can add up to several seconds! Drivers like schumacher and senna had this gift that's why they were so quick in the wet.

  • @Anime998877 schumacher only one with rain setup and different tires

  • @MrBusunglueck

Formula-1 is and always´been about progress, if some team (or car) becomes superior the FIA will systematic keep them back. Not necessary immediately but most likely within the next season. This process began for real in the 1990-is when the FIA-establishment changed the tracks /rules frequency - everything to keep the speed down. Or some-team leap away from the rest.... Driver is always important stupid. Or why didnt they pick-you ? for an ordinary salary....

  • @hlidskjalf666 schumacher was the only one with rain setup here. so whats your point?

  • @MrBusunglueck

There is no point argue with morons, with gritty beliefs.

    1. I guess you could explain everything to benefit the unhealthy Opinion of yours..

2.Schumacher is called the-true Rainmaster by many experts (murray walker etc)

    3. Maybe you explain everything with setups?haha like 1995 when Schumacher held the same pace as Hill with slick tyres in the rain ! Or 1996 were Michael laped all drivers up to third in the rain of spanish GP, making 5-6 corrections / a Corner!

  • @hlidskjalf666 rain = 25% skill , 25% setup , 25% confidence in the car and 25% luck. like i said im schumacher fan. but even michael himself said that the ferrari was very good in the rain in 96. and if you look at the years 03-06 youll see that michael often was beaten in the rain. the driver just cant make a 6 sec difference per lap. maybe schumacher was gambling on rain. than he had raised the car a bit and stuff. you dont know that do you?

  • @MrBusunglueck You are mostly right. No driver can make a 6 seconds difference. But But still Schumacher was one of the top wet track drivers. There are champions who can not drive on wet (Villeneuve). If a driver can't handle wet conditions, I always think there is something missing there. I can't pay full respect to these racers. I was watching Senna on wet track the other day, you instantly understand there is a difference between him and most of the racers on track.

  • Michael Schumacher is the men

  • jacque driven into the pits accidently LOL :D

  • Those were the times when the graphics were still yellow and good looking.

  • 10 seconds a lap faster ?

    jesus christ

  • Those were the days...

  • great upload mate

  • It'd have been interesting if the SC hadn't been used, because then the inter\dry set up would be a liability for the first 10 or so laps.

  • Master drives in the rain

  • frentzen is on a Williams, Fisichella on a Jordam....is clearly 97!

  • Got to love murray walker!

  • Schumacher's car carries the number 5 if you look closely - inbetween the pixels!?!

  • Schumacher in a ferrari. Martin Brundle commentating, Frentzen driving a Rothmans sponsored Williams. Fisichella driving a Jordan, Ligier had been renamed to Prost Grand Prix. Why was there ever any thought that this could be anything other than 97.

  • Schumacher and Ferrari made them all look like fools

  • 10 seconds a lap faster!! Now THAT'S talent!

  • He is flying on wet track because of ferrari strategy! Villeneuve alesi and fisico had wet tyres and schumi had intermediate tyres and the track became dry!!!

  • i love spa... rain on one side of the track, sun on the other. then you get rain all over the place, then it stops and after a few laps the track is beginning to dry out :)

  • Comment removed

  • @florian0203 - No it's 97. Martin Brundle (one of the commentators in the video) was still driving in f1 in 1996.

  • @Anime998877 yep, it's '97. hear the commentator talk about schumacher having a world championship at stake when he passed allesi in a somewhat dangerous way.

    .

ferrari was out of it in '96; no chance--it MUST be '97.

  • @Anime998877 Yep exactly. My mistake. Well in fact, my first thought was that this was 97, but then in the video I saw a number 1 for Michael Schumacher (not for the position but the car number), because of the video's quality

  • @Anime998877 It's 97, at 3:25 you can see that Schumacher is driving the #5 car.

  • @k0nn0r - Duh that's what i said, it's 97..

  • @Anime998877 I didnt say I was disagreeing ;)

  • @florian0203 it's not the number 1 but the quality of the video is so bad, that the "5" loooks like a "1"

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video... It's definitely 1997. Damon Hill passed his team mate Pedro Diniz, and they were driving for Arrows. Schumi was immense in the wet. Senna was better though!

  • @florian0203 by the way, schumachers car has the number 5 here...

  • @florian0203 Correction dude he is driving car no. 3, and Hill is in the Arrows

  • @florian0203 That was a dry conditions race in 96, and wet conditions in 97. Even if Schumi has the number 1 on the screen(I don't exactly know why...), this race is well in 97 ;)

  • @florian0203 and Nakano wasn't driving in 96. So it's well in 97

  • @Guichlaquiche Plus Frentzen is at Williams. in 96 it would have been Hill as Villeneuve's Team Mate.

  • Comment removed

  • Απάντηση σε αυτό το βίντεο...

Number 1 is his position in the race , not his car's number.

  • @florian0203 You no nothing about F1 isn't it? Frentzen in a Williams, Hill in an Arrows, RSC in a Jordan, MSC had the Number 5 on the car, the safety car is a MB CLK which was bulit since 1997... Also in 1996 Spa was completly dry. Oh man...

  • @florian0203 don't speak about f1 it will be better

  • @KIMI1428

Ca y'est ? Tu as décidé de pourrir toutes les vidéos de Schumi jusqu'à ce qu'on ferme ton compte ?

Schumacher a décidé lui même de mettre des intermédiaires, visiblement tu n'es pas bien renseigné. Enfin bref...

KIMI1428 is just trolling everywhere he can saying rubbish about Schumacher.

Thumb down his posts so we can't see his bullshit posts anymore.

  • @SchumiSutil hahaha judging from his name, he is a butthurt kimi fans who cant accept kimi is pawnd by michael in their active years

  • @florian0203: Can't see that Schumacher has the Number 1 car, its definitely the race of '97, Michael wins, fisichella 2nd and so on. Schumacher drives with Number 5 what u can see in 2:03. Also the cars remains me to 1997!

  • @florian0203 it's 97

  • @florian0203 this is from 97...in 96 schumacher has th number 1 because in the 95 he won the driver world champion with benetton and he passed in ferrari team....in 96 ferrari was differently that car used in this video (sorry for the bad english xD)

  • @florian0203 Fisichella and Ralf Schumacher were NOT Jordan drivers in '96, without any doubt, it's '97

  • @florian0203 It is 100% percent 97, since in 96 Mclaren is still red-and-white

  • Do not compare Senna with Schumacher, ok Senna was my favorit driver of all time but Schumacher deserves very very much respect, both are drivers, both are world champions, both are legends!

  • @tazuna02 - Please don't say stuff like that.

  • Comment removed

  • @tazuna02 shut the fuck up you idiot thats NOT funny -.-

  • @tazuna02 You are the biggest asshole in the world, was that worth it?

  • @june372

no i think the biggest asshole in the world is someone else

  • @tazuna02 I don't understand how he has won because he isn't dead.

  • @tazuna02 ppl take this way to serious -_-

  • In my opinion Michael Schumacher is the greatest racing driver to have ever lived and I still root for him to this day. No haters please... (I said in MY opinion).

  • schumacher does what he love to do today.... driving! winning isn´t that important than in the past....

  • 10secs faster than anyone else. OH MY DAYS!!!!

  • how the shit do you see??

  • @axledante Think the German coverage had it. Drop me a PM, I might be able to find it for you.

  • @hofsteveO - He's not a backmarker...

  • @hofsteveO 18 and a half takeovers are not the definition of a backmarker my friend

  • Comment removed

  • Love to see him do that this weekend. First in P1 is a start..

  • Villeneuve chose the wrong tyres. He should have started on intermediates.

  • Miss Murray Walker classic

  • 10 seconds faster. Than anyone. On one lap. I rest my case.

  • ROFL!!! 1:42 "the undisputed rain master of formula 1" God damn Murray and his words, legendary!!! F1 is sssooo boring without him.

  • undisputed rain master... god i miss him....in red

  • Apparently Williams opted for slicks here which is why JV\Frentzen went backwards.

  • VERY NICE, BUT WATCH THIS VIDEO FOR AMATEUR FOOTAGE OF THE FAMOUS F1 SPA 1998 PILE-UP AT THE START: /watch?v=oKGvy-6yl-g WE JUST CONVERTED THE TAPE TO DVD AND THEN PUT IT ON THE COMPUTER SO IT HASN'T BEEN UPLOADED BEFORE.. RATE AND COMMENT TO GET A SUB #FTW :)

  • I wish these days were back.

  • @IdioticTendencies Me too now it's so boring, the cars are awful and the drivers are all the same...

  • Comme il laisse la grosse merde de villeneuve sur place, simplement le Dieu de la F1 SCHUMI <3<3<3

  • @tool5150 Spain '96 mate, nuff said

  • WTF? Mate when there's spray coming from the back of the cars the track is wet Look at Schumi onboard at 2:43... You want treacherous conditions watch monaco 97, spain 96....

You want me to list races of Schumi's abilities in the wet?

    Spa 92, Spa 95, Europe 95, Suzuka 95, Spain 96, Monaco 97, France 97, Spa 97, Europe 00, US 00, Sepang 01, China 06!

In all these races he was a class above anyone else. Go figure..

  • @Anime998877 And US 03,even if the rain was light. It was a brillant win

  • @Anime998877: And Canada 2011. A current example...

  • @Anime998877 you also forgot canadian gp 11 he did not win but still 4th

  • @Anime998877 and spa 2011 Monaco 2012,Canada 2012 Spa 2012 i hope :)

  • @Anime998877 , and you forgot USA 2003!:)))

  • @Anime998877 Montreal 11 :)

  • montreal 2011 is the proof that even in his fourties, he is still a rainmaster... barging his way from the middle pack, overtaking everyone without DRS (DRS is disabled on wet) up to 2nd behind vettel, but drying track made him easy meat for jenson's DRS whom most of his overtaking manouver is DRS assisted

  • @Anime998877 wow, i'm impressed. I thought I knew all his races but you re much better:)) nice

  • @tool5150 Watch 97 Monaco you dumbass

  • @tool5150 Another jealous Senna fan... all senna fans are like this...

  • @tool5150 so Bellof?

  • omg this are REAL F1 CARS

  • @26DeislerFCB - Lol relax F1 cars are always evolving they're just as real now as they were 15 years ago.

  • Those was BEAUTIFUL cars.... Not like today... :(

  • They would red flag the race if the rain was this bad now! Pathetic!!

  • @cocopop999 what rain it was a drizzle unlike monaco in 84!

  • thank you so much for this. absolutely amazing.

  • my fav years of watching schumacher were the mid to late 90s (despite him not winning the champioship), the ferrari was inferior to the mclaren and the williams (in different years) yet schumacher would show he was the best driver despite inferior machinery. by the time ferrari got the best car in the early 2000s - mid 2000s it got all too easy for him. legend

  • @imjustincredible - Yea schumi was at his best in the mid-late 90s. Never had the best car but won 2 championships and also deserved 97 way more than Villeneuve. 98 Hakkinen had a car that was as dominant as the 02 ferrari. Schumi still took it down to the last round. 99 schumi broke his leg otherwise it's obvious he would have won the championship that year as his vastly inferior team mate irvine missed out by 2 points.

  • @Anime998877

Nonsense, the 1998 McLaren was nowhere near as dominant as the 2002 Ferrari. First of all the 2002 had perfect reliability and Schumacher didn't retire from a single race that season. Some years ago a group of experts ranked the 2002 Ferrari just below the 1992 Williams Renault in being superior to the rest. The difference is the 1992 Williams wasn't bullet proof reliable, unlike the Ferrari.

At the 2nd part of the 1998 season Goodyear tires were better too. Hence 3 poles at once

  • You want to talk pole positions?? Okay the F2002 scored 10 poles in 17 races in 2002. The 1998 mclaren scored 12 in 16.... Do the math.. Do you even know know how dominant that mclaren was? In qualifying they locked out the front row in almost every single race sometimes by gargantuan margins of 0.5-0.7 seconds.. Reliability?? Hakkinen only had 2 mech failures in 1998. That's pretty damn good!

  • @Anime998877

And you're saying it yourself. If the 1999 Ferrari was so good that even Irvine nearly took the title with it (and Salo would have won in Germany if he wasn't told to let Irvine past). How did they just magically create a such a superb car from that "inferior" 1998 car?

And the 1994 Benetton WAS the best car that year.Schumacher himself told his engineers that they had created a winner when he first tested it in 1994.The 1994 Benetton won the Autosport racing car of the year award

  • In 1999 it was a similar situation to 2005 in which mclaren was much faster but reliability let it down time and time again.. Couple that with Hakkinen trying so hard to lose the title and of course Irvine only just missed out... Schumi would have had that title in his pocket otherwise..

  • I actually agree the B194 was the best car of 94. It was quite debatable on weather or not the williams was better. However the 95 williams was definitely superior to the 95 benneton and schumacher trashed Hill and Coulthard.

  • fisico showed his talent in this early days, too.

  • Schumi is that fast I would call him the flying german >; D

  • how come every video about schumacher or senna instantly turns into a competition between them.... why cant people just watch this video and appreciate the brilliant driving of Schumacher that day??

Seriously, how must the other drivers in the field have felt that night when they watched the race back... especially the early laps!

Just enjoy the videos people and stop turning them all into an endless argument!

  • @cassin16 - Because a Senna fan comes onto a schumi video and praises Senna hence provoking the schumi fans to counteract Senna fan's opinion and then a needless argument begins - and vice versa.

It'll never end but who really cares. I acknowledge that they're two of the best of all time and that's enough for me.

  • @Anime998877 Agreed!

  • @cassin16 completely agreed..!

  • if senna was in this race, he would've pissed off into the distance and won.

  • Most people who disrespect Senna have not seen him race. If Vettel wins another 6 or so championship in this decade, youngsters who never saw schumi in prime would say Vettel is the best.

I personally heard from a Indy/formula 1 racer that on talent there is no one close to Senna.

  • @sskgrs

I think if you or I drove for Ferrari in the early 2000s (V-10 Era), we'd have won it up too. Their cars were just that damn good.

  • @sskgrs

He could dance with the car. ;) right.

But a great driver must perform under the entire race.Senna could not, he was irregular and barely took 3 titles in the dominant Mclaren-team that won prob anyway! Mostly they won by points because Prost did the job. Senna was just a show-off. But still he is my "top 3" drivers. NOT racers...

    F-1 ´s bout more than poles !

  • @hlidskjalf666 - Well to be fair if reliability back then was as good as today Senna would have about as many wins as he had poles.

  • @Anime998877

explain "fair" why Alain Prost got higher ratio?

    (same team,same car & same era as senna....xD )

heck, even Fangio from the 50-is got better win-ratio. Explain that "fair" ;)

  • Several reasons. The first is Prost drove a top two car in his entire career with the exception of 91. The second is Prost didn't get nearly as many mech failures as Senna. If you compare their win ratios with discounting mechanical failures Senna will undoubtedly be ahead..

In the 1950s Fangio drove the best car for his ENTIRE career and I do mean that his ENTIRE career. When you had mech failures in those days you could swap cars with your team mate so it wouldn't really make a difference.

  • In 1986 he took more poles than anybody and without the mechanical failures he suffered he would have been world champion in the = 4th best car.

And besides just the fact that he could take poles up to 0.5 to 1.5 seconds quicker than his team mate Prost who was the 2nd best driver in the world at that time shows his talent.

  • @Anime998877

    Constructors Championships:

    1988 - Mclaren Honda

1989 - Mclaren Honda (followed by Williams)

    1990 - Mclaren-Honda

Come on! Senna won in the already-winning team. With the same setup from Prost!

And Prost did win more races than to brag with poles ;) Racing is about making the entire GP you know....xD clearly something Senna could not.

  • It's amazing that in the comments of every Schumacher video is some shit about Senna.

  • good old time...

  • Can't we just enjoy both of them??? Instead of argueing who was the best, let's be grateful we've had two amazing talents in this modern F1 field.

  • its annoying to hear so many people who saw the top gear tribute to Senna just jumping on the band wagon and pretend they know motor sport inside out! Obviously Senna was one of the greats, but lets have it right, one of the main reasons Schumi is not given the credit he deserves is because he is disliked by most of the drivers in the paddock! His achievements speak for themselves! He is the best of the best! Greatest ever!

  • I am a SENNA fan....but MS is something special..just look at this run ;) i cant say who is best of these 2

  • msc let look the others like monkeys xD

  • By "flies" i thought you meant he crashed, not by going from 3rd to 1st. Try and rename the video so other people don't get confused.

  • Why would someone hate SHUM

  • 97 ;)

  • GG

  • The best ever :P

  • Spa 98,Spa97,Spa 95,Spa 2010,monaco 97,barcalona 95,malaysia 2001,Abu dhabi 2010. These are a few of races where Schumacher quite frankly made them look like idiots.

  • @theschuminator I don't get the 2010 races? are you being sarcastic?

  • @USCtrojans26 Spa started last place finnished 7th, abu dhabi dispatched of button and kubica as he faught his way to 4th place. Whats not to understand?

  • @theschuminator OK I understand spa, but didn't he wreck on the first lap of Abu Dhabi? Don't worry, I am a Schumi fan, not a hater.

  • @theschuminator It was Korea where he fought his way up to 4th in the rain, overtaking Button and Kubica.

  • @theschuminator if you mean the barcelona "rainy" race where he pwned the competition again, it was in 96.

  • cof cof cof!!! Schumacher fans please .... must support and learn quietly that the king of the rain is Ayrton Senna ... The whole world is constantly telling ... do not forget ....

  • Thee rain master!

  • @theschuminator

    are you kidding?????

  • I remember that race. It was an awesome weekend. Not that Spa in the rain could be non-awesome.

About Senna: The shocking truth is: This video is not about him. So would the fanbois please leave to a video about Senna, and possibly continue their hating there? Or even better, get over it. I can't imagine that a genius as Senna would want you trolls.

  • Ahh, the Schumacher of old! I hope he can not only thrash everyone in at least one race before he retires (again).

  • Schumacher master of the rain

  • Senna took 1 title by crashing into Prost car.

    there is your "handed champion"

  • @hlidskjalf666 Senna deserved the championship in 1990 though. Prost's ferrari had semi-automatic transmission as well as other gizmos while Senna's mclaren was still using technology from the middle ages.. And yet despite this Senna managed to stay ahead of Prost in the championship for pretty much the whole season.. Even if Senna hadn't deliberately rammed Prost off the track he still would have won the championship if he had finished 2nd.

  • @Anime998877

1990 Constructors' Championship won by: Mclaren.

    period.

The Ferrari-car was a disaster, what gizmos are you on about?

  • @hlidskjalf666 gerhard berger, senna's team mate, did not win a single grand prix in 1990 and berger was one of the best drivers on the grid at that time. ferrari had the best car in 1990 in my opinion just senna was the better driver

  • @Anime998877

Not you or me could possibly argue about Gerard Berger in comparison to anyone in just one season.

Quite strange opinion, why did the McLaren won the constructors` title 1990? what could explain the gap of titles between 1979 (J.Scheckter) and 1996 with (Schumacher) during those years ferrari was driven by Prost,Mansell,G Villenueve ....you´re prob alone in the world claim the ferrari was near to be a good car.

  • @hlidskjalf666 It was fast but highly unreliable.

  • @Anime998877 i thought ferrari was crap before schumacher joined

  • @LordNazgul95 - No in some years is was the top 3 car. They just hadn't had a world champion since 1979.

  • @Anime998877 Which then of course begs the question, why did Senna ram him off the track then since from what you've said it was a needless act?

  • @reptongeek - senna was pissed that the pole position grid slot was moved to the dirty side of the track. he protested against it but balestre was too infatuated with prost and wanted to give prost the advantage. senna then warned them that "if prost makes it into the first corner before me i'm going to act as if no one's there". well prost did make it to the first corner before senna and senna just kept to his word.

  • @Anime998877 well to be honest you must be a madman to put the lives of you and your old teammate at stake.

  • @hlidskjalf666 Schumacher took a title by crashing into Damon Hill's car. And launch control.
