A meteor from outer space wreaks havoc when broken shards grow when in contact with water, from any source, human or earth. The race is on to find the solution to stop them and save lives. Will they make it in time? A pretty good Sci Fi from the 50's. Neat cars and town. Good acting, not cheesy at all, a recomended watch.

I have this memorable film in "The Classic Sci-Fi Ultimate Collection" Volume 1. Four other films are included: "Tarantula", The Incredible Shrinking Man (which also stars Grant Williams from the film above)," "The Mole People," and "Monster On the Campus." Then, there's Volume Two.............

Good movie. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting. I think the reason why people entered the cars from the passenger side is because it may have interfered with the camera angle. They would have been stepping in front of the camera which would have been on the driver's side. It's just my guess.
