True drag races are from the digg. This is what really tests the driver/rider. Track racing is never done from a 60 roll. Re-run with a true quarter mile run and it won't even be close.

@Demiser500 Depends on the Busa and the rider. Them bikes lose so much aerodynamically up top. I have 08 R-1 with a +2 rear, 2 brothers exhaust, PC III and lowered and I hang with Busa's. My 700bhp mustang can keep up over 100mph...anything under and its toast. a 1200hp Viper would, IMO, beat a Busa w/o n2o or a turbo anywhere over 80-100mph.
No the problem is all these car guys think that beating a bike from 60+ roll, think their shit is fast. Real races are from digs, but if you are going from roll, try a 40.

It is a gross exaggeration to call both crappy. The Suzuki in particular has been the benchmark sports bike for most of the 2000 - 2009 period. It has only recently been surpassed by BMW and Aprilia. Even labelling the 2010/11 models as mediocre is a pessemistic view. All the tests I have read say it is good but no longer the best.
So many idiots, bikers, accept that some cars are quick for fuck's sake. Every video where there is a car and a bike the bikers make excuses for the bike, the best bike will not beat the best car, more wheels = more grip. @saaped You must be very small to be "in" your GSXR-1000. Perhaps you fit under the seat or even in your air box? It is not a foregone conclusion that every 1000 cc sports bike will beat every modded car in the world. There are a small No. of modded cars that do have the beans to stay with or beat stock bikes, especially in roll-on races at higher speeds. This is supposedly a twin turbo 8.2 L? Viper with over 800 hp and shit loads of torque. It's possible it can beat a gsxr 1000.
@droceretik This car would no doubt beat a 1000cc bike at higher speeds..I own this exact bike with the single pipe that eliminates the cat and shaves 25lbs (08 1000) and the problem bikes have above 140 is cars are much more aerodynamic when its a viper or vette and cut through the air better and have more torque to push...start this race at 30mph and that viper will be chasing a bike down till well above 150 due to how fast these things accelerate below 130.
@droceretik That's also the reason I would love nothing more than to stuff 6lbs of boost with a turbo to seal the deal on making it that much harder to beat. =) (around 250hp to the wheel is what ive seen) but thats a whole other story I guess. either way bike and car in this vid are sick and stupid fast.
@AudiS403 Yeh, however, I find the stock 1000 has plenty enough grunt for me. I find that only top production racers can extract 100% performance potential from these bikes. Mostly the limitation is the rider, not the bike. Ex world GP Champion Wayne Gardner lapped our local track 10 seconds faster than most of the B group riders on 1000 cc machines. He was riding a stock Honda 600 2-up! In any case I like both cars and bikes but bikes give adrenaline rush like nothing else + top bang for buck.

Actually 144 at 10.6 is a very good time, however, not one achievable by a 600. But cars racing bikes is very dumb. Completely different classes, physics, drivers and price ranges. Never, should one try to compare bikes to cars or vice versa. It just isn't right. That's like saying this Viper is faster than my Wrangler. It sure is, but how well would it hold up in Moab? Not at all. Plus, you can't take this car off-roading anywhere. It's nice though.

l think big wheels/rims are for design style tuning but helps on high speeds l could be wrong cause this is a supermodded viper but on a stock cars is totally different

The Texas Mile Viper had 1500 RWHP. The limit is not HP but traction and ultimately frontal area and drag. A stock viper is quoted as having a top speed of between 184 and 190 mph. IMO GSX 1000 Turbo will more than hang with t/c Viper. Even the stock 1000 will have a chance up to 150 mph from SS.
@droceretik From a standing start unless a viper or vette also has a set of slicks there is not a chance in hell they will get near a stock 1000...no traction and power to wieght is way to much in favor of the bike at those speeds...plus like my 08 1000 gixxer you don't have to shift out of first untill 103mph...so there is no loss during shifts. I love supercars but you will never bang for the buck get a car to hang with a bike.
@AudiS403 I agree, however I was responding to NicksterOnAGixxer and his view that a stock GSXR 1000 had no chance against this car. My argument is that a stock gixxer has every chance against this car up to 150 mph and would kill it from SS over a 1/4. A t/c GSXR 1000 would murder it over a 1/4 and providing it had the right gearing would dominate up to 200 mph. Over 200 mph it would be in favour of the car but it would need 800+ hp in IMO. It's just academic anyway as who goes 180 + often.:)

@ruthlessone3k Last I spoke with Gary (has been at least 3 years now) he had the Blue w/ White and he had just done the Texas mile event with Heffner in the Red w/ White. I know he certainly had the means to own the two and more, but today, I'm not sure because I've not gone to a VCA event, posted on their boards, or been to a V10 Nats to see who is still around since the economy went south.

And yeah the econ has hit everybody pretty hard and its sad to say but the play car is usually a luxury that is quick to go when hard times come knocking.
@ruthlessone3k Not sure if you've ever driven one of these "beasts" but it's incredibly hard to get stock wheels w/ IRS, to hook up. Never mind 20" wheels. You have to really ROLLLLL into the throttle through 1st and then go balls out. So that will raise your 60ft and keep from having a low ET. However, with that MPH, you can tell if the car was running 10.5 slicks it would have dropped into the 9s, no problem.
@ruthlessone3k makes it that much more impressive, huh? I was fortunate to drive quite a few of these things up to 1100 hp (mostly Doug Levin projects) and they really are something else.
@TinnInches Well, you are a really lucky man. I've never driven anything from any of the high end builders like that. Mostly just home built stuff. some of them were pretty impressive, but not as nicely done as a doug levin or heffner viper. I live in Germany right now so I dont get to drive a lot of properly built domestics.

@TinnInches I love the autobahns, and the way they drive in general here. so much better than back in the states. round abouts may seem a little confusing to some people at first but it sure beats a stop light at every intersection. getting places is so much faster.

k7 gixxer...dual yoshi slip ons, power commander, not tuned...after tune, gixxer laid down 170.1hp on a dynojet.....thats what I heard anyway...I also heard the riders helmet was really noisy so he couldnt hear the car horn...he also started in the wrong gear...he could probably beat him, if not stay side by side now...this is all just assumptions and hearsay though

@AudiS403 Yeh, however, I find the stock 1000 has plenty enough grunt for me. I find that only top production racers can extract 100% performance potential from these bikes. Mostly the limitation is the rider, not the bike. Ex world GP Champion Wayne Gardner lapped our local track 10 seconds faster than most of the B group riders on 1000 cc machines. He was riding a stock Honda 600 2-up! In any case I like both cars and bikes but bikes give adrenaline rush like nothing else + top bang for buck.

@droceretik True...but unfortunatly i've found that even the performance a 1000 offers you tend to get used to it...so i figure another 60hp to the tire would be a nice addition...and knowing that if a viper with TT or vette..or hell a F-16 tries to run ya...chances are in your favor. =) ..........well...minus the F-16

Actually 144 at 10.6 is a very good time, however, not one achievable by a 600. But cars racing bikes is very dumb. Completely different classes, physics, drivers and price ranges. Never, should one try to compare bikes to cars or vice versa. It just isn't right. That's like saying this Viper is faster than my Wrangler. It sure is, but how well would it hold up in Moab? Not at all. Plus, you can't take this car off-roading anywhere. It's nice though.

l think big wheels/rims are for design style tuning but helps on high speeds l could be wrong cause this is a supermodded viper but on a stock cars is totally different

Too much car for the Gixxer. Even with a better rider it wouldn't stand a chance. The bike with turbo's it would hang but it would still be close.

Texas Mile, Viper = 240.9 mph Hayabusa = 278.8 mph
The Texas Mile Viper had 1500 RWHP. The limit is not HP but traction and ultimately frontal area and drag. A stock viper is quoted as having a top speed of between 184 and 190 mph. IMO GSX 1000 Turbo will more than hang with t/c Viper. Even the stock 1000 will have a chance up to 150 mph from SS.

@droceretik From a standing start unless a viper or vette also has a set of slicks there is not a chance in hell they will get near a stock 1000...no traction and power to wieght is way to much in favor of the bike at those speeds...plus like my 08 1000 gixxer you don't have to shift out of first untill 103mph...so there is no loss during shifts. I love supercars but you will never bang for the buck get a car to hang with a bike.

@AudiS403 I agree, however I was responding to NicksterOnAGixxer and his view that a stock GSXR 1000 had no chance against this car. My argument is that a stock gixxer has every chance against this car up to 150 mph and would kill it from SS over a 1/4. A t/c GSXR 1000 would murder it over a 1/4 and providing it had the right gearing would dominate up to 200 mph. Over 200 mph it would be in favour of the car but it would need 800+ hp in IMO. It's just academic anyway as who goes 180 + often.:)

@ruthlessone3k Last I spoke with Gary (has been at least 3 years now) he had the Blue w/ White and he had just done the Texas mile event with Heffner in the Red w/ White. I know he certainly had the means to own the two and more, but today, I'm not sure because I've not gone to a VCA event, posted on their boards, or been to a V10 Nats to see who is still around since the economy went south.

And yeah the econ has hit everybody pretty hard and its sad to say but the play car is usually a luxury that is quick to go when hard times come knocking.

@ruthlessone3k Not sure if you've ever driven one of these "beasts" but it's incredibly hard to get stock wheels w/ IRS, to hook up. Never mind 20" wheels. You have to really ROLLLLL into the throttle through 1st and then go balls out. So that will raise your 60ft and keep from having a low ET. However, with that MPH, you can tell if the car was running 10.5 slicks it would have dropped into the 9s, no problem.

@TinnInches Well, you are a really lucky man. I've never driven anything from any of the high end builders like that. Mostly just home built stuff. some of them were pretty impressive, but not as nicely done as a doug levin or heffner viper. I live in Germany right now so I dont get to drive a lot of properly built domestics.

@TinnInches I love the autobahns, and the way they drive in general here. so much better than back in the states. round abouts may seem a little confusing to some people at first but it sure beats a stop light at every intersection. getting places is so much faster.

I can almost be certain I will see two accidents around the cracker barrel down the street this morning from the church crowd. The way the Polizia stops all traffic to work the accident. The way the highways make a 3rd lane for emergency vehicles. The way the semi-trucks HAVE TO STAY in the far right lane even if one breaks down...then they all break down with him/her. LOVED the roundabouts!

k7 gixxer...dual yoshi slip ons, power commander, not tuned...after tune, gixxer laid down 170.1hp on a dynojet.....thats what I heard anyway...I also heard the riders helmet was really noisy so he couldnt hear the car horn...he also started in the wrong gear...he could probably beat him, if not stay side by side now...this is all just assumptions and hearsay though

Same crap difrent day. You spend so much cash and do so many mods to a car just so u can try to beat 20k out of the box bike??? why bother if u think your that good and that fast get a bike thats been moded as much as the car and then have a go. Slip a y2k beside you and see how things turn out.
