Pretty much the perfect kit - exactly what's needed and nothing more.

Spend some time unloading a big kit, pulling the drums out of their cases and setting up/mounting everything before a show and then, after you've played for 2 or 3 hours, breaking down/unmounting everything and putting each piece back in its case and then loading it all back into a vehicle and you'll quickly learn to love minimalist kits.

Perfect kit.

i agree there not much like the smashing pumpkins to me but she does have a great voice and i feel that when she does sing she super intune so i think she chose to limit the vocals and focus on her amazing bass ability while still incorporating her vocals on the right acasions sounds so mellow but the lyrics are very strong and his voice also so she brings the mellow feel to the tracks

here's where the similarities to the Smashing Pumpkins break apart:: The SSPU bassist is confident, clear, excellent right-hand, and supports the vocals with cross-harmonies and a tuneful upper octave. The SP's bassist was mixed down in a muddy soup, and was rarely able to contribute vocally (or perhaps wasn't allowed to).

@schvice1 Darcy was a great bassist, look at Gish! and don't blame the musician for poor mixing (or better still - change the EQ on your amplifier - the bass sounds good to my ears!)...She also contributed vocally, both live and in the studio.

The actual main difference is that the SP had two (pretty good) guitarists. But Brian makes up for it by using fuzz and heavy distortion in parts, and by being pretty damn good riff writing.

But in the end - both bands are good - enjoy the music!

Yea you're right, i doubt Schvice listens to the pumpkins. If you actually listen to their music, D'arcy actually contributes quite a lot in terms of vocals. It's just with the mixing on albums such as Siamese Dream, they did a lot of overdubbing and it's so well combined and fluent that it sounds like just Billy's voice. Thank Butch Vig for that.
