The goalie was Bill Durnan, he was ambidextrous, so he wore two gloves because he would switch the stick to either hand depending on where the play was and therefore could catch the puck with whatever hand was free. He was also the last goalie to captain a team until Luongo did it a few years ago, tho Luongo wasn't allowed to wear the "C". You can see the C on his jersey clearly on the clip.
Interesting to see the bit around 3:46 about the black hockey team. I wonder how much racism they had to endure back then to play the game they loved.
