If you're wondering how to get other players to "Fade out" when they're out of range of your heals, Alert Level has to be set to 100%. Mine was at 90% and 30 min of trying to figure out how to set it up I gave up and watched this video. That's VERY nice to have.

@xrichx04 Yes, all recent versions of Healbot will use different settings for the Spell Tab when you switch specs. Its an option that is on by default, so if for some reason you don't want that feature you can turn it off.

I find HB useful on pala tank too - set up left mouse click for Righteous Defence, - keep Sacred Shield, Hand of Protection, Cleanse on the same mouse settings as when Holy. With dual spec HB seems to retain your different settings for each spec. but do check now and again :P Don't want to be casting Righteous Defence instead of Flash of Light when in  healer role!

Hi guys i got a major problem with my healbot.. it wont update anymore and always says(when extracting the folder) installation failed. I had a while ago made the mistake of updating it while i was logged into wow.. now it cant be updated, reinstalled or uninstalled! pls HELP!

My Healbot is now setup similarly to your video. I jumped onto a BG to test things out. I notice when someone doesn't have fortitude on, I just left click on their name, and they get it.

Does it work the same way with debuffs? I see the alert message popup pointing out that someone has a debuff, but when I click, it does the assigned heal. If this a bug or it's intended? Thanks.

It will remove debuffs with a left-click only when your targets are out of combat and you have ooc smart cast activated. Otherwise, just use default dispel/cure button.

Out of combat, Blizzard will let addons do some automated things, like using the correct dispel/decurse. But while in combat it can only tell you that something is happening. You must use the ability yourself, so while in combat you would have to use a button that has been assigned to Dispel Magic or Cure Debuff.

Im using the new Healbot 4.0, why can't I click on myself? Like I can't click on my Power word: shield, and click on the person in Healbot. It doesn't respond on that. If I understand you correctly, then I'd just say that it doesn't work like that. You do not have to click on the PW:S button at all. Simply assign PW:S to a mouse button (I use shift:right button). Then mouse over the persons name in the healbot window, shift:right click and voilà - they are now in a bubble of happiness.

Are priests and druids considered equals as far as being a healer goes?

Both Druids and Discipline Priests require several buffs/cooldowns on a target at a time. With the Druid its all the HOTs, while the Disc Priest is looking at actual buffs and debuffs and Penance cooldown. A Druid is better at preloading a target with HOT's, which are much much stronger then a Priests Renew HOT. The Disc Priest is better suited as a reactive healer. So for a Druid you plan ahead, and a Disc priest you stop damage and then heal back up. Both are excellent, just different.

Afaik, you cannot get banned from using an addon, other than if it does something clearly illegal (which addons aren't intended to do), like fly or something. I have heard of addons that actually alter game mechanics, and I have witnessed just that.

I never leveled a Pally enough to experience the blessings. But I would imagine this has to do with the Buff Tab. See if it has your Blessings all set to just "Raid" or "Party" this will cause them to overlap each other as it goes down the list. If so you might consider having a seperate entry for each class (rogue, warrior, priest, etc..) or type (melee, ranged, caster, pet).

All our pallies always use an addon called Pally Power, which allowes them to coordinate all that.

I have "Col Spacer" set to 3 just to keep a small gap between them. This means space between the columns.

I have just started healing as a Resto at 80, I am having some trouble with the set up.

I have a 7 button mouse, however healbot doesnt recognize the buttons except for Left and Right.

It doesnt even use my scroll middle button.

I was using hb fine with my 5 button mouse until this past week. I did several things - without backing up :( I updated HB, installed xperl, viewporter, prat , sexymaps, and bartender. I thought all was well with the world until I tested healing - my 4/5 buttons no longer worked with healbot. I do not know if this is a bug from recent update or conflict with another addon.

I don't use healbot either. I am a resto druid, and my UI setup is: | (below Esc key) = Wild Growth 1 = Lifebloom 2 = Rejuvenation 3 = Regrowth 4 = Nourish 5 = Healing Touch (rarely used) < = Nature's swiftness + Healing Touch macro F = Swiftmend Mouse button 4 = Abolish Poison Mouse button 5 = Remove curse When I heal, I select targets manually by clicking them from the raid icons, then I press the key for the spell I want to use. I feel that I heal much better this way than with any addon.

Couple things to consider. To cast a spell on a target, your method requires 2 key presses, which involves delay sources from mechanical button pressing, your brain to finger reaction speed, as well server/client lag. When using Healbot, the button you press over the box determines the spell to be casted and who to be targeted all in 1 click. It takes 1/2 the time to get the spell going.

You also get a minimal yet efficient uniform display that is the same no matter who is in the raid.

So this is not to say that you can't heal using the standard UI, because you certainly can.

However I usually give guildies about a month of using Healbot after I get them to try it out before I ask them how its going. I have never had someone come back saying that didnt feel like they were a better healer.

There was a blue post back in Burning Crusade where they said they basically design raids around the idea that DBM, Omen (back then) and Healbot were being used.

however in PvE you'll never get anywhere in high raiding without some sort of healing addon to make sure you're clicking something everytime you're 70% of a normal global cooldown goes around..

Thank you so much, this is fantastic. I've only started using hb recently, and this has helped me smooth out a few issues I've been having (such as hb not showing targets being out of range, despite fiddling with the range modifier... I didn't know what alert level did!)

As a resto druid, I've been running into that WG bug a few time, so thanks for the macro, I've just keyed that in and hopefully I won't have that problem anymore.

Hey i have seen a SHIT load of videos on setting up healbot, and screwed around for an hour or two myself or longer, and still not been able to find this.

I was wondering, how do you make your bars green? Like while you are out of combat, and when in combat they go from green, to yellow, to red etc.... I saw your other video, and your bars were green when setting it up, mine are all white

The reason it changes to different colors once you leave combat is because its monitoring for missing buffs on ppl. On the buff tab you will see individual buffs like Fortitude, Spirit, Inner Fire (on your self). Each of these can be assigned a different color (and time remaining before they show up). If you dont like this feature you can turn off "Monitor buffs while out of combat" or just set each buff to None. But its beneficial to your party to keep buffs up. Once you buff they r green.

This is happening to everyone in a BG's now. I believe it is a way to let you get full loot value when you loot a players corpse (since they drop 10-30 silver now), as well as not punish you with diminished "raid XP" since you can level up in BG's as of the 3.2.

I also noticed I was able to join a guild raid group the other day while in a BG.

on my HB on my own name (i play a resto druid) in the middle of the bar is a poison icon which i dunno what is... top left corner says "1" bottom right corner says "5"

one of the numbers is how many stacks and the other is how long on the duration.

I think the 1 in the top is the stacks (so you would need to cleanse twice for example if it said "2", but after the first cleanse you would see it drop to 1).

The 5 is the duration counter and should be counting down. Generally if its stuck in the middle like that (even out of combat), you need to do a /reload to reload your UI.

Its good to point out that option, but I think in the end its a personal preference. I play a Disc Priest and a Resto Druid, both of which place alot of "icons" on the target with almost 100% uptime. By having it on the right (default) I block their health bar when they are above 50% health, but can generally see below 50% with no obstructions.

So I would rather see the bar clean when they low on health as opposed to above half.

Like I said personal preference, but I prefer default.

I find that with a 5-button mouse, I have enough free buttons I'm able to assign PW: F, Shadow Prot, and DS their own buttons.

If you do this, and tell HB to track the raid-wide versions, you are able to apply both raid-wide and single target versions of the spells through healbot.
