  • This, is the Australian equivalent to a Marsupial, a fluffy, adorable creature with a pouch on it. WTF AUSTRALIA?

  • if they truly are still around, lets leave them alone to live, it might probably God or natures way to hide them to us for awhile, a lesson learned to mankind

  • @doizzky I don't believe in gods, but I truly hope the same.

  • @tubehaug98 that only works if you have a frsh sample that is perfectly preserved and there isn't

  • @tubehaug98 Somebody's seen Jurassic Park a little too much times...

  • @tubehaug98 How old are you?

  • why can't they put those fucking bounty hunters in cages instead?

  • some people comment like they aren't human. I wouldn't want to be the species that dies out. But I do want to see a real live thylacine...r.i.p

  • fucking ozzies, exterminated the zebra dog. no wonder there is no women in your country, wankers

  • humans are a cancer to the planet

  • Wah wah wah. Humans are soooooo baaaaaaaad. Pfft You're a human. If u wanna make a difference then start by killing yourself :3

  • @Agastui You first, then they'll think about it.

  • man fuck humans.... so i'm gona go around and make sure every last human has be fucked :)

  • looks like a big mongoose

  • @kamilianawow mongoose look like huge ferrets!

  • R.I.P. Benjamin, we'll avenge your death someday. ;) Hail the creatures!

  • I'm so glad to see that the very last creature of it's species was locked out of it's shelter and froze to death..if that happened with the last panda in a modern zoo it would face hella trouble..

  • Fuck Mankind, I want to be a thylacine! :D

  • @xservintage And be dead?

  • @scuttlebuttz

Wow, so to be a thylacine, I must be automatically dead. I can't be alive because the rest of my kind isn't. It's like their greatest achievement would be not being dead. What the hell?

  • @xservintage Well...if you were one odds are you would be dead considering that almost all (if not all) ARE. Being a member of an (officially) extinct species typically means being dead. Even if you poofed into one good luck finding a mate and continuing the species, or not being captured and becoming a spectacle. Not being dead actually is a pretty great achievement.

  • @scuttlebuttz

I don't concurr with the member of an officially dead race. Haven't you learned anything with Dragon Ball? Song Goku and Vegeta belong to the Sayan race, a race whose planet exploded a long time ago, and they are their only two living members. That doesn't mean they should be dead in the first place.

  • @xservintage Obviously I haven't. That would make Sayans "critically endangered", not extinct. Being a member of an extinct species means being dead, and again if TTs are really still alive see previous comment.

Besides, if you were on a city street and saw someone being mugged as much as you would sympathize with the victim you wouldn't think "Damn muggers...I wish I was being mugged right now"

  • I really want to know what goes through the minds of people who dislike footage of an extinct(?) animal. Did they get offended?

  • I don't believe the Thylacine actually took down prey but just sliced through their jugular to just get to the blood. I think the animal ate mostly blood and animals internal organs. Read Magnificent Survivor. It's a free book on the internet. They still live on.

  • @rchros01 And I'm sure you're friends with vampires too.

  • dont fell too bad people. the dinosaurs and animals before them were extinct long before mammals let alone man ever appeard. that just how it goes. we live, we die.

enjoy life. do it for Thylacine.

  • Such a beautiful, elegantly engineered animal! History has given them a bum rap, it seems. Morphology on the thylacine has since revealed their jaw muscles didn't have the power or leverage to bite the heads off or grip and hold the throats of anything as large as a sheep. Analysis has indicated they would have been able to take down animals not much larger than an opossum. Note the similarity n the back leg stance to other marsupialswhen they move toward an upright position.

  • hi great description heard of bits of it

  • THANKS FOR KILLING THE THYLACINE TO EXTINCT - FUCKING WHITE DEMONS !!!

  • Thumbs up if you wanna punch wilf batty in the face.

  • Looks like a evil animal, but does not go after the farmer.

  • i wonder how much of a powerful bite this animal had ( people claimed that the thylacine bit off heads off of sheep and other prey) considering its couson the tasmanian devil whitch has one of most powerful bites in the animal kingdom (on a scale) with a 400 psi from a 12 - 20 lb animal... can you imagine? i mean look at the teeth the thylacine had !!

  • In the fist video there where two Thylacines that could have reproduced and brought the species back. Kind of annoying knowing that.

  • Fascinating, its movements look like claymation.

The only footage of a TRUE ancient antique predator.

  • /humans no longer have a place in this world...obvuously

  • @SethXx77 hay we are animals to you know, we have a right to this world as well

  • @cartoonkingforeever True, however i dont think we deserve it if we take that right away from other creatures

  • @SethXx77 well do locus have a right the world? since they eat every bit of vegetation in sight or the mosquitoes that cause malaria

  • @cartoonkingforeever *sigh* I'm not getting into this right now...

  • @SethXx77 why not?

  • God it has a very wide mouth.!! 3:00

  • :(

  • It sucks that they are gone now...such a beautiful animal. Stupid humans for killing them all !!

  • @MirandaM510 we didn't kill them all, they went extinct

  • @ApplelPie natural selection has nothing to do with the existence of animals if humans are involved because we destroy everything. With our destruction of the planet and it's species we don't give evolution or natural selection a chance. Who knows, if we protected animals more then we kill, those two things may occur once again.

  • Do people actually want to see this animal alive again? This is one of the ugliest creature I've ever seen. And they were a nuisance which is why they had to be eliminated. Sometimes we need to clear the way for human progression.

  • @damiion666 fuck off with that kind of human progression, and that was a beautiful animal

  • @2:34 that one looks like he wouldve chopped a dogs head off!! Lol

  • Ever since I first saw video of those things when I was a kid, I've been terrified of them.

I must admit, though, they are still very beautiful animals. I wish I could face my fear, but that has very unfortunately been rendered impossible....

  • fuck humans

  • is that a dog? it looks so much like a dog, but i know the two are not related

  • that things mouth scare the crap out of me. NIGHTMARES

  • Awsome!!!!!!!

Have you seen this beautiful animal with it's mouth open.

    Freaking Huge mouth!!!!

  • I'm going to find one.

  • @sultanofsanitation I'll help!

  • That footage is far too blurry and grainy to be proof of ANYTHING.

  • What a magnificent creature. Humans have shown what a**holes they are. Hunt them down mercilessly when they were around and when they are gone, offer rewards for findings. Very sad extinction caused by human brutality.

  • proof OZs are bastards!

  • its obvious that is a lion. Thylacines are extinct like dodos

  • @thehantavirus but it's odd that it's in Australia. :x

  • @thehantavirus Please tell, how would lions make it to Australia on their own? Thylacines are from Australia, Lions Africa (with small populations still existing in Asia).

  • bhbfjsujds

  • WOW, one of the most interesting things I've come across! I mean it's so recent yet so far away, what a great animal, it's a shame farmers killed so many, though i hear the Dingo outmatched it. Hard to believe survival of the fittest occurred to such a visible and literal extent so recently.

  • @TheEsotericDesi we know, but we're not proud of it in case you're wondering

  • Lets pull our heads out of our asses and be realistic.... Mankind's knocked this specie out of existence...

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • SAD they are all gone now sob

  • Just like every kind of organism in universe, these are really beutiful, and I dont think theyre extinct.

  • The last specimen died of cold in 1936 in captivity. It was like the plague wiped out by farmers, and now everyone wants to see him back in the wild .....

But the irreparable was committed, again because of human stupidity!

  • @IIQuasarII this is what ive been saying since i first saw Ben on discovery when i was around FIVE years old.... ever since then iv wanted to become a scientist so that i can try to restore them instead of making better hair products =.= such a waste of money, scientists should try to do something more admirable.

  • @IIQuasarII we can bring them the dodo and the moa back if we want now cloneing FTW

  • It really does look like a thylacine. I'm not zoologist, but I think there could be some still living today. They're probably just really, really elusive.

  • i own a bull terrior (dog) and it looks soo much like the thylacine eg.the nose, legs, body.

watch the striped they dissapear and reapear i think i read somewhere that they had "retractable" stripes.

ben died on 7 September 1936. It is believed to have died as the result of neglect—locked out of its sheltered sleeping quarters.

Intensive hunting encouraged by bounties is generally blamed for its extinction, but other contributory factors may have been disease, introduced dogs, loss of habitat

  • @fastisnice I have a Chihuahua Miniature Pincher mix and she looks exactly like a tazzy tiger just minus the stripes

  • They're so beatufiul, wis i could bring it back to life

  • How said it's gone due to neglect

  • which pixel is it?

  • Everyone who is upset at the probable extinction of thylacines, please channel that emotion into the conservation of currently threatened animals. Let's not keep doing this.

  • the first video is obvisly faked

  • @TheSlipgizzleForLife Not everything is fucking fake now.. there have been many sightings of this wonderful creature

to me I wish they'd still be alive they are amazing, cute, and would be a great pet..

  • @BeastyMacaroni They're already extinct, and you want to bring them back just to make them your pets?

  • @Achmeron No I'd love to have them back plus people have had sightings but I'd want to be able to have them as a pet.... plus just to see them again

  • damn y wud they kill them all, there way cooler than any animal we hav now i wish they were still here

  • O.o half zebra half dog

  • Those were some strange looking creatures

  • why is the human race such a destructive race if we weren't around the world wouldn't have so much death.

  • @juggz1186 well you need an education on life, because there are other creatures that cause more death than any human

  • Beautiful animmal i wish they where alive today

  • Sorry, I mean 0:34

  • The pic at 0:37 always frightens me...

  • Hmmm,i wonder if it 20 years time we'll see more iconic Aussie animals like this, such as the Bilby, and look at the footage of the last of them and think,I wihs I could've,I wish I should've!

  • look at the this beatiful creature ,good job mand kind , i hope you feel good about your self.

  • really beautiful animal .......... very sad that we cannot see it alive

  • weierd striped ass creature :D

  • f*ck humans!!!

  • @hatsudai69 Seriously, we fucking suck.

  • i wish people wouldn't claim sightings just to get famous, give them some respect

  • grrrrrrr this makes me so fkn mad. Ive been studying these beautiful creatures for many years now and it breaks my heart on how they were killed, locked up and so badly mistreated in the hands of people - the public & in a zoo who let them suffer and die due to a stupid careless person who left them out overnight. In some pics that i have seen you can see that they were almost starving, skin on bone..thin as anything and extremely unhappy in the small enclosure the selfish people had them in.

  • People suck, the last known specimen died because it was locked out of it's shelter and exposed the extreme heat and cold until it died.

  • Thycalines are build rather odd....

  • It is just so bloody sad that in only 1936 the last of this animal was allowed to die out , because of mans ignorance and selfishness . I would love this animal to be rediscovered in the wild but i just can't see it happening , with the technology nowadays you would think they would be able to get some DNA from the stuffed ones and do something?

  • i wish someday those creatures will be back in a wild T_____T

i wish they are hiding then they are mutating so there population

are going back to normal again.. T________T So Sad They Died Because Of Human!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • you don't have to be a "do-gooder" to give a shit what happens to this place.if ppl looked at all creatures like they looked at their own dog then we wouldn't be where we are...unless of course ur Mike Vick.

  • human beings r like a cancer to the planet...pave over ever everything and put up more blockbusters and star bucks, we wonder y animals go extinct. Not from just poaching or over hunting but also from declining habitats. if humans didn't exist, the planet would look, and in fact be, a totally different place. People should care more, or just care at all. i'm not a tree hugger or some neo hippie. i'm a normal dude who knows wha's right and what's wrong.

  • @chiplets66 I f*ing couldn't agree with you more. The truth is, it's not "us or them". There's enough space for both humans and animals in the wild, but we have to think before we act, stop being so greedy when we've already got more than we need. I know the Earth will "take her revenge on us" - as we are already destroying ourselves with what we do. But why does it have to end after we kill all we can and in the end die ourselves on a lifeless piece of rock floating through space?

  • hello there are in died there are no more of them

  • Human are so disgusting....The dodo bird is also extinct.

  • i would love to learn about these animals. like their eating habits, if they hunted in a pack or not and ect.

  • I wonder what they sounded like. Tasmanian devil growl, or a dog-like noise.

  • @kcadue It's not much known, but it HAS been recorded that they make a low, whooping-like cry, described as almost like a birdcall. You can find old audioclips online - it's really quite fascinating, and eerie.

  • @Slayers4TheFuture sorry to butt in, but I've visited all sites I could find about thylacines some time ago and didn't find any audio clips. Could you please give me a link or just a name of the site if you happen to still have it?

  • @EratoTiaTuatha Don't check messages very often, sorryyy. I posted this right after watching Animal X, so I BELIEVE it was in that video. First part can be found on YouTube, just search "Animal X Thylacine" If there was another video I can't find it, unfortunately. Been too long.

  • @Slayers4TheFuture Thanks anyway! I'll see what I can find ;)

  • Looks like a lioness or a puma - however, there are a couple of recent film clips around which are a lot more convincing. I'd say it's about 80% probable the thylacine is still around.

  • Looks like an African Lion to me.

  • Comment removed

  • their recreating thylacines, they have many preserved ones, only like 2-3 tho, and their young,

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx You sir, are retarded.

  • @LurkerLizzy1924 nah its true i read it on the news and stuff! LOL

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx just becase you saw it on the news, doesnt make it true

  • its so sad viewing these animals dying under unnatural conditions like that

  • Wow, I shed a tear watching this footage! It's so sad...

  • What an amazing and beautiful creature.

  • i wish we still had them

  • huhmy cam is running abd i am really bored with all that stuff

  • I wish these animals didn't go extinct. I want to see one and see what they sound like.

  • We should clone them.

  • @ehend661

For what use? There isn't enough different geentic material for a whole population.

  • why they act it's late...

they are happy to see them dying in the hand of human???

no one concern if they killed this animal yeah i remember when u killed this

animal u have bounty price... i really hate human race... we abuse our power

in this world.. T______T sory for them.... T____T

  • @Xanxus29 beg your pardon?

  • I dont like it when I come on videos like this and I see comments about oh humanity this humanity that, but what have you really done to help out? do you recycle? and I mean everything not just whats convenient, I havent driven a car in 5 yrs yet most of my "hippie liberal" friends do, in fact most people just comment about others and go on their way carrying on like only they matter, and its only when they see videos like this that they cry out, hypocrites..

  • What Genus did the Thylacine belong to?

  • @Fuleadeare Thylacinus Cynocephalus was the scientific name given to it. I think it means 'Pouched dog with the wolf-like head.'

  • @potstillbill

    Thanks a bunch!

  • @Fuleadeare You're welcome :D

  • As a child, when I first read about these animals I was horrified. They're not like dinosaurs, we have video and photographs from less than a hundred years ago. It didn't seem possible that they disappeared so quickly like that.

I want to hope they're still out there somewhere.

  • its a hyina

  • they DO look a lot like numbats. except their faces are more canine in appearence...

  • @Propositum or that there is no god ;)

  • They are just numbats on steroids.

  • It gives me chills everytime I hear that an extinct creature may have been spotted.

    Gives you hope you know?

    :)

  • @GrilledCheese2theMAX Alot of pokemon are based off of real life creatures.Picas in the rocky mountains for picachus and Carrion flowers are the basis of vileplumes ect ect.:)

  • they aren't extinct they are just hiding from the woods theres a thousand eye witness over the years so don't loose hope they are not bad as the dinosaurs being extinct

  • Excellent footage !

I don't think I've ever seen this film in it's entirety before.

    Thanx Good Looking Out!

  • Interesting how the look doglike, act doglike but when threatened arch their back like a cat. Also, when they seemed to be able to stand on their back legs like a kangaroo.

  • The perfect song for this is "Earth Song" by Michael Jackson

  • ฟองร้อน. เตือน tema42-แกมมา. สื่อสารโลกผันผวนอย่างต่อเนื่อง. ด้านเครื่องมือแลกเปลี่ยน.

  • it's fucking sad our grandsons will watch the Panda bears and Bengali tigers the same fucking way we are watching this (only in old footages) ..if we keep destroying the great animal kingdom...

  • @bossz4 This is sad, and Thylacines are probably the most bad ass animal of all time. But extinctions aren't always caused by humans. And Pandas are losing numbers because they would rather eat than have sex.

  • @bossz4 panads arnt havin sex not are problem its their there stupid and fat and are racoons

  • @bossz4 Not to mention the dolphins, seals, whales and all the other defenseless animals that people are murdering all the time in this world.. From this, I started signing thousands of petitions on the net to stop all of this, yet with the barbarism of humanity it will probably be useless...

  • @bossz4 Although it is sad that animals like the thylacine died due to hunting on false pretenses (There was a lot of propaganda that claimed the thylacine hunted chickens) there are many animals that just will die because they are no longer suited for their environment. If, Pandas can't urbanize like american deer, it is too bad for them. It is just how natural selection works, the way of the "great animal kingdom." We are a part of this cycle, like the first O2 producing plants...

  • @bossz4 Its sad but its true...

  • I truely believe that their is a stong possibility of tasmanian tigers still being in the wild today. Tasmania has alot of covered areas where they could easily survive without being noticed. Accounts have been recorded, there was even a farmer who was attacked by one, when trying to catch it. and then there is still a 1million reward for an alive specimen, issued by someone in america ( cant remember who) . If they are still alive, I hope I never see one, they should stay hidden and safe

  • My greatgrandfather actualy saw one of these he said they had like black eyes like black like great white shark eyes

  • very interesting

  • watch him yawn that mouth did a freaking 180 creepy.... but it reminds me of a dog

  • they have the jaw and fangs of a cobra...meaning they can dislocate it

  • where did you hear that? why wouldn't they have a fixed mandible like all other marsupials and mammals?

  • a bunch of places but then why would they have stripes....or solid black eyes.....or any other thing this hell hound has

  • yeah, that's actually true. they can dislocate it willingly and probably swallow a small child whole.... lol but they are very similar to the common wolf and not too out of the ordinary otherwise. just a very interesting look to them lol

  • ye and have a body kinda like a opossum, Either way im glad they are stuck on Australia

(i don't think they are extinct)

  • Can no one spell in these comments?

  • I didn't have time to comment last night when I favorited it, but really..

People cannot argue they weren't real -

Look! It's REAL fucking footage! They lived and breathed just /like/ us!

Pause it at 0:59 and you'll see what I mean...

  • now v c wat happens wen stupid humanity bcomes TOO selfish & starts takin thins 4 granted...oh how i feel 4 those poor creeatures almost extinct or hunted so ferociously (usually 4 un-necessary things which humans dont need @ all, like horns, leather, claws, tooth, etc.) that tey r almost extinct...

i cant wait till all humans kill themselves wit war n stuff & those hu wish 2 live in peace r left alive...tat would b te day...

  • cant wait 4 global warming 2 take te toll on humans, poor animals would have 2 suffer as well...

  • Are you thirteen? Your spelling/grammar is just awful. They DO have a spell-checker on the comment section. FYI red squiggly lines=bad spelling.

They WERE hunted to extinction. None have been recorded. And why do you want everyone to die? You realize that would involve your death as well, right?

  • hey bozo, read clearly...im typin in a shorter way aites...so wat if im 13 or 41 or 219,watcha gonna do??don u realize tat i noe wat im writing, obviously mr.obvious it would mean my death as well...u cant provve everythin rite, wat if tere are a few survivors or smt....u not worth my time no more

  • Tazooo :)

  • visceral. utterly visceral.

    bladerunner anyone?

  • Wow! a cross between a dog and a possum?

  • we could of saived them =(

  • I wish we did save them I don't think there scary there just another one of gods creations and We the fucked up humans killed them to extiction sometimes I hope something happens in 2012 just to punish the human race for its bad deeds
