so touching scene that was. Cass never changed. He still loves Dean too much, he still do anything for him but i think I'd understand that he is in a war. Very significant, cruel and important. He tried to be on Wincs side. he tried over and over again. But couldnt focus on his war. That's why he made a decision to be seem as he was changed. Yes he is not so modest nowadays, yes he seems he is revenging from Dean and he wants Dean to be on his knees in front of him. but wont harm him i believe

I am not a slash fan, but I just love the way these two care about each other. I love that they have this human-angel friendship, against all odds, right? wouldn't be so cool if Cas really ended up human. The main thing I love about them is that Cas is actually a lot more powerful than Dean, which gives him a chance to be protective, but at the same time has so much to learn from him.

@Haley452 I totally agree with you! Cas has been melting my heart ever since the first glimpse I got of him in "Lazarus Rising." And I'm not a slash fan either, but I am a fan of genuine affection, which is exactly what these two have for each other, and it shows. I think, at first, Castiel just did what he did out of duty. But now, I think he does it more out of true brotherly love. They really have become like brothers.

This is just one the most endearing scenes I've ever seen, there's just so much fondness and love in their eyes when they looked at each other.

Cas's look said "I'll always be there, looking out for you, you know that"

Dean's look said "Thank you so much for being exactly who you ever and exactly who I need you to be"

And both of their faces said "You mean so much to me"

It's a beautiful scene and one of my favorite's of the whole episode, even just for the looks on their faces alone. :)
