I really like the tools you have made, what scripting language does SoftImage use for those? I use Blender (which a lot of people seem to now) which has the Python API.

@GoodOldGeek The API works with VBScript, JScript, and Python. I used JScript because when I started the project (now over 6 years ago) Python wasn't well supported.

I know it's been a while since anyone has posted on this video (although the newer podcasts do), I felt I should ask........is there a smear out there for Maya? You have the files for free downloads but I only found one for Softimage (XSI). If you know a tutorial out there or perhaps a download that would be great.

And lastly I wanted to just say awesome job on this podcast, it's been helping me and plenty others with their animations!

Yep the real-time motion blur gets heavy on complex characters. Probably the easiest way would be to build it into the rig so you can turn it on or off. It might only be useful when playblasting.

At least as far my first impression goes, I like more the first method...

For example, regarding to the last method, making instances of a character (like the agent of P.I.) I think, or, it seems to me, that can become very heavy for the PC, no!?
