Trivia for people into Sonic vs Mario:

Total War is Sega's newest hit next to Sonic. Try playing Medieval 2 Total War all the way through and imagine playing as one of those assassins and that defines all 4 Assassin's Creed games.

Of course everyone knows how Ezio's uncle resembles Mario, but the assassins themselves do things monkeys are known to do (Donkey Kong).

Assassin's Creed vs Total War would make sense given the fact that Total War views everything from a completely opposite perspectiv

I'm assuming you're stuck where the lamp post is at the tower? I was stuck there as well. It's difficult to describe what to do, especially since I don't know what system you are playing on. Luckily, there is a whole collection of walkthrough videos which demonstrate how this can be done.

@ElectronicElation Question for you what's the best  way to succesfully counter attack soldiers with axes and spears I try but they always manage to hit me when I try to counter I usually use my sword but is there like another weapon I should use cause I hate when they start really hammering on me

I always counter attack with my hidden blades because as most who watch my walkthrough know...I'm addicted to them. You just have to take a few minutes and really STUDY the exact timing. On Grunts (heavy's) you seem to have to press the counter attack command JUST before they hit you. With other guards I can press counter pretty early and most of the time it still works. So press the counter button pretty late.

Also, If your fighting a guard with a spear or a Grunt, use the disarm technique!

Disarming them is SO easy...again though....timing. Besides, once you disarm them you get to see that weapons unique kill sequence. -=)

@ElectronicElation Thanks for the tip yeah the hidden blades are my favorite weapons as for countering with them for some reason Ezio feels the need to retract them right as I'm being attacked cause what usually happens is I try to counter and instead he pops the blades out and I get nailed anyway but on a rooftop I pretty much can't be touched by guards cause i can kill them before they attack me

Cool beans on the rooftop fighting. Yeah, if Ezio is popping out his blades or sheathing them just before you get attacked then you are pressing the counter button to early. You've gotta wait until a millisecond before getting clubbed. :)

@ElectronicElation As you may well know, it's just a matter of practise, with regard to countering. To early with the hidden blades and you get hit, to late and you get hit. So in the end I just disarm a brute and obliterate everyone else with the axe!

That guy was actually a Boargia (spelling?) messenger. They don't show up on the radar/HUD at all and are a chance encounter. A pickpocket shows up on the HUD as a little pocket symbol in a red circle.

I tackled a Boargia (spelling?) messenger. They are completely random and do not show up on you HUD/radar. If you tackle them you earn a reward. If you kill them it makes you notorious. I capitalized on that when I saw him. ;)
