The dac-2 and 3 do not work on vista64 bit, and they never will, however it works fine on vista32. I learned this from experience!! Vista 64 and denon are supported however.
I recommend going to PCDJ RED MOBILE which was released almost 2 weeks ago. Much better than the RED VRM product where some people have been still having issues.
Something to think about as well... when converting to compact system like this you might also want to look into a Denon DN-HC4500 that works with ALL NEW PCDJ Products. Which also has a built in Dual Soundcard.
The DAC2 has been discontinued for almost 2 years with the DAC3 to discontinued as well soon if not already.
I,ve had that rack for just over 4 years now and the controller is great. I also have the DAC 3 on my digital video rack and is also really good. You can still buy both.
I know you can... so you know I am the Local Rep for PCDJ in Minnesota and also a Moderator for the PCDJ Message Board. Thats why I have some insite on what it going on.
Hello. Can you please tell me what make / model the bracket is you use to hold the monitor? Any ideas where I can get one in the UK? I've got a case which is the same as yours, but how do I fix a folding LCD bracket in? Thanks
That built in PC is pretty sick. I was thinking about picking up a Vestrax VCI-300 to get my feet wet with digital DJing. Of course to use my laptop at first, but if I move forward with digital, which is definitely going to be the future, I'd defintely want to put together a set up with a PC built into the rack.
Again very nice set up. One thing, that software looks a little dated to the stuff that's out now. Itch, Torq, Virtual DJ...have you tried any of that software out?
Thanks, the pcdj-red is great, never crashed and it's easy to work with as long you have the controller and the custom keyboard. My next rack will be all digital video, I'll be using sorato for beatmix purpose... video is the way to go. Check out my other videos and the different sets.
hey marcio, i have pcdj red also but i didnt like until i seen your setup. I didnt you can hook an external mixer to it.. i feel stupid. What kind of mixer do you have and what kind of amps do you use for the speakers? sorry for all the questions but you have inspired me to do more with pcdj.. and by the way.. where are your amps setup?

One question on the legs - do they fold, unscrew or are they pinned to mounts on the case - or is it a separate stand to hold the case?
rhblakeman 2 years ago
It's a Quik-lok WS 540 Heavy-dutty T stand.
Good luck

What the name of the controller which looks like a dubble cd player?!?
mobilediscojason 2 years ago
It's the pcdj DAC 2 digital audio controller.
I would go with the DAC 3, you can add fx software for the pcdj program.

DjGaz,
You may be able to order anything you need from Paul at Light and sound equitment. His info is displayed up above.
The screen does fold up and down and stays in the case. Paul also makes the mouse pad/keyboard that is really great!
Good luck,
Marcio
marcio11470 2 years ago
Hi. How does the screen fit into the case? Can you transport the case with the screen in it? Does the screen fold down?
