I found it I found I found it !!!! I never knew the title of this song and have searched for years. This song is real Scottish folklore and goes through my soul
How I miss The Corries! I was a teenager in the 70s when I first discovered their music and still love it very much today. Their music inspired my generation to discover our roots and history and to be proud of who we are. Roy's passing was a real loss to Scotland, and Ronnie's still doing amazing things, but through their inspiring music The Corries are an amazing part of Scots history. Thanks guys, you helped to shape who I am today!
Now: you take The Corries and all they stood for - all their pride and brilliance - and let this tune stand alone: because it is, without doubt, the best songs ever written -- he's remembered for so much, but, for me, this is the melody that will always encapsulates his genius.
i like the stones zep dylan neil young but im afraid this is better than anything any of those artists ever produced

This is definitely Roy Williams' best song. The version on their CD 'In Concert' is even better. Goose bumps!

Legendary. The Corries have become embedded in the very fabric of Scotland. If I was away from home this is a sound that would make Me homesick.
