Can someone please explain to me how does a person still not bleed to death just from being in shock. I just don't understand how you can have your whole arm cut off and still not bleed to death.

@superhornet69 A complete amputation may not bleed very much. The cut blood vessels may spasm, pull back into the injured part, and shrink. This slows or stops the bleeding. Ricks accident and amputation happened so quickly it is likely that this was the case. I hope that this helps!

I also think that the fact that he went into such utter and traumatic shock is what saved him, I mean that it is was such a violent jolt to his body is actually what saved him.

I noticed you live in the U.K., what is the town of Sheffield like, is it a place you would highly recommend to visit if I came over there?

@superhornet69 I am not from Sheffield but would highly recommend that you visited that part of Yorkshire because the countryside is outstandingly beautiful in that part of England. Sheffield itself was/is famous for making fine stainless steel cutlery and so was a major industrial town. The 'Leppards' couldn't wait to leave.. but then this is probably true of any artistic mindset in any town however good or bad! I last visited Sheffield a decade ago.. and it was famous then for it's shopping!

In 1994, I rescued a 6 month old black lab mutt who lost her front left leg due to cruelty. I named her Rikki, after Rick Allen!!!!  she was always waggin her tail and drummin on everything too & at 15 years old--she still does!!!
