I happen to be a devout Catholic because my great great grandmother was a divine inspiration to me. I'm actually Irish Catholic on my mom's side of the family. So praying the rosary everyday is like creating a garment of flowers for the Blessed Virgin Mary.
My point being is that the Bible, King James version or not, is used in many religions today. My adoptive mom is a preacher & NOT A CATHOLIC ONE but she still uses the King James version & she's a Penecost. The Jewish form also has passages from the original. Its all in how you take God in.
thirdly but not lastly the Early Church, the people who were taught by the apostles discerned that the bible had 73 inspired books. From their knowledge and being led by the Spirit they disqualified the heretical books (like the gnostic gospels) and approved of the true books of the bible.
Martin Luther denounced 7 books of the bible 1200 years after the fact and it wasnt until the 1820s did protestants take the 7 books out of the bibles.
Anyone that is in heaven is considered Divine @Carthage397 Why can't God remove her from original sin, if she had sin it would have been passed on to Jesus, she only passed on her humaness, not sin. You are putting her in the wrong perspective when you think CoRedemtrix. We don't look at her as the Savior, EVER! and NEVER WILL! but she leads us to her son, by her life we learn to follow her son and love him! Don't judge about just because of what someone says, in this case a Protestant view.
@1107israelilover "stupid hail marys"? you sound so foolish. its either you ate too many lead paint chips as a child or you are an ignorant coward because you can make extremely childish remarks and then hide behind your computer.
@carthage397 AND YOU SHOULD SHUT UP,,,,,,, ITS NOT MY FUALT YOU THINK MARRY IS DIVINE,,,,,,, MARRY WAS A SINNER A SINNER.......NOT PERFECT SHE SINNED AND NEEDED A SAVIOUR LIKE ALL OF US DO....U PEOPLE TAKE HER FROM A PRIVALAGED MAIDEN TO A QUOTE COREDEMTRIX...........
@1107israelilover "you should shut up"? what are you a 5 yr old bratty kid? did you comment here to show people that your a fool?
Just because you TYPE LIKE THIS doesnt make what your saying any less false. These doctrines regarding Mary have been believed from the very beginning of Christianity by the Early Church fathers, the people who actually compiled the bible. The bible is a Catholic book
if the Catholic church is wrong then the bible must be wrong and your "faith is based on nothing"
@carthage397 Actually the BIBLE is not a Catholic book. Depending on which version you are reading, you may also have different interpretations of it. It is was first written in Aramaic then translated into other versions mainly latin, which then became the most read AMERICAN, "ST. JAMES VERSION". So you pick your own, Catholic is not the only way or version.
@BillysBelle you are ignoring history. The Catholic Church compiled the Bible with 73 books at the 3rd council of carthage in 397AD. The Bishops of the Church under the guidance of the pope compiled the bible. If you accept the Bible then you are automatically accepting the Church that compiled it and that was the Catholic Church. Look it up, this is simple history
@BillysBelle secondly the early Church was the Catholic Church. If you read the writings of the Early Christians (the early church fathers) in the first 3 centuries, they are undoubltly Catholic. If you want to know what is Christian truth you will look up the people who were taught by the Apostles believed.
Why follow some protestant group that differs in belief and practice greatly from that of the Early Church?
@BillysBelle Actually it is called the King James Version. Please read the response by carthage397 on the history of the Bible, it is very accurate and truthful.
@GodTowardSociety you need to read what he said in context of the pagans he was talking about, and learn how Jesus doesn't stop a person from reciting prayers..in fact he repeats prayers himself and so did the angels in front on God throne.we don't tell our our parent i love once and then never repeat it for being annoying. or Jesus i love you once..once saved not always saved..Sola scriptra unbiblical...those simple prayers in the church are called ejaculations..Pro-Jesus always! Always!
the only mystery of the catholic church is how ungodly the church really is... its truly stagering how far from God the church really is.. they think that all their religious traditions beliefs and pagan ceremonies make them a spiritual authority about God.,,
Jesus didnt come to turn us into mindless slaves of the church
@loudmouthspeaker were not mindless slaves but friends...the people of Jewish traditions in love for God were not thrown out because they had ceremonies and traditions..but were kept for him by him for those traditions that they kept that their ancestors were taught by God..God made religion as a moral foundation to love and share Gods love..Jesus is a king.. you should know that kings celebrate there valued events, and do appoint people to positions of responsibility...come on man...wise up
@JamesofJesus When then did the catholic church reject the jews and had nothing to do with them...what you call valued events ..are in actual fact are times of rememberance of when God did certain things for His people.. ..
it would seem that the RCC split from the jews and then they split again which created the orthodox church.... who is leaving who
@loudmouthspeaker thye have their practices every week..they have their synogogues, and we came from them..Jesus was the Jewish messiah promised to them, and some listened and some didn't..they have rituals that you don't seem to be negative about..they have their hierarchy...look into the history from a pro- Catholic source..not your own..ones approach is always scewed..were better of.. listening to the research of someone whos looked!
The only answer to scripture quotes like this is to quote Jesus to Peter saying "Thou art Peter, upon this rock I build my church" and "That which you bind on earth is bound in heaven, that which you loose on earth is loosed in heaven". He left it to the boys in charge.
@hininga28 You are mis interpeting Matthew 6. The key word is Vain. The Rosary is meditation on the Life/Death and Resurrection of Jesus. The Hail Mary is prayed which is straight out of Luke 1 as well as the Our Father which is out of Matt 6. So please explain to me how the Rosary is Vain? Also in the book of Revelation the Angels say are praying God saying holy holy holy forever......this is repetition but it is not vain, and neither is the Rosary.
@hininga28 secondly the saints arent dead, they are alive with Christ.....istn that the whole point of being saved? to be alive with God in heaven.
To answer your question the saints can hear us. At the beginning of Rev 8, the angels are offering up the prayers of the saints to God, this would imply they are praying for people so they are aware of the Church on earth.....
@hininga28 secondly if you read the recount of the transfiguration found in the 3 synoptic gospels, Jesus goes up to mount tabor with peter, james and john, where he is transfigured, Elijah and Moses (WHO HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS) appear and converse with Jesus. So again to say the people in heaven cant hear the people on earth is completely unbiblical.
As the priest pointed out, it is sometimes impossible to have a text in front of you; I would add that when you are without a rosary, use your fingers.
please explain how teaching about a Christian devotion is control? the Catholic Church has always fostered and encouraged education, thats the exact opposite of what a group that wants to control people would do. when you want to control people you keep them uneducated and cut off the means to information as in cultic groups (Islam, Jehovah's Witnesses, as well as others)
i never said we are angels and they are devils. You made a statement on how the content in the video is a means of control, i explained why its not and then made an example of groups that employ control tactics so you can see the difference. you made a negative statement about the rosary, i am Catholic, i love my faith, therefore im gonna defend it. If someone takes a shot at you or something you love im pretty sure you would be defensive as well. im not trying to attack, just defend. take care

did God tell us to repeat prayers over and over?
(Matthew 6:7)
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
can Dead saints hear us?
(Ecclesiastes 9:5)
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
