I played this in symphonic band, and at the resolution, where the voices begin to stagger and conclude the song, I felt a moment of true.......Nirvana. There's very few words that describe the moment, and I don't think I'm ever going to be able to explain it accurately.

Eric Whittacre has an otherworldly ability to compose music that way.

I really wish I could participate in the Virtual Choir. I have performed a few of his pieces in high school and love them, but I don't have any recording equipment or access to music here in my dorm. It's really depressing how that part of my life seems to be over.

Eric, that's how I feel also. When I hear... you know, dissonances in perfect tune, I just want to die in that moment and revive and die again... You music utilizes such GREAT uses of dissonance! It's truly beautiful to feel the music in your heart and listen to the Eric Whitacre Singers create your music time and time again. It's truly an honor to be living in a generation of such wonderful writers that can create the most beautiful music I've ever heard in my entire life. Thank you Mr Whitacre
