Pure raw talent live on the sound stage of Jailhouse rock. Thanks Elvisfan55!!! Please watch my version of this tune if you get a chance. love to all Dan Dell (dandelvis)
This is Rock n Roll, and this is the KING. The "Best of the Best" There will Never, Ever, be another Elvis. A Gift, On loan from God for such a short, short time, but the Best the World has ever seen.
@noahf67 I think there's around 7 versions of this song. I've got one on my iTunes that's not the originally released one, but that's not this one. I also used to have a slowed down version of All Shook Up where the only instrument was a piano and Elvis.
The first clip I ever saw of Elvis Presley on an oldies show on Norwegian TV in the late 80s. *le sigh* Childhood memories... And the King lives on! :)
Judy Tyler (1932-1957) was the beautiful brunette in Jailhouse Rock . Many of us remember her as as Princess Summerfall Winterspring from Howdy Doody on television in the early 1950's. After filming Jailhouse Rock, Judy was killed in a car accident. Elvis said he never saw Jailhouse Rock, because he was so shocked over Judy's death.
Sassy!!!!!!!! :D "if you really care!" :49 LOL... Oh and :22 E's FAMOUS impeccable timing. In fact it was said many songs were conducted by E's ASS when they travelled and the crowds were so loud!!!! LOL
YEAH...this is the real one...when I saw it colorized, that jacket/shirt combo almost scared the crap out of me...much much better IMO than the 45 rerecording...still maybe the King's best flick...thanks for a boss post...:-)
The lady who plys his manager who is clapping on the righ side of the screen was killed in a car crash while on her honeymoon only a few weeks later before the film was released.
How sad to learn of that tragedy. Aside from her fine acting & beautiful looks, I always loved that particular character role she played supporting Elvis in the movie(til this day,I can't watch that final scene when he's testing his voice singing young & beautiful to Judy Tyler with the band sneaking in & backing him with those angelic harmonies, without breaking into tears..& after learning of Judy's death(only 23y/o), that scene will be really hard to get through....the entire movie will.
Enjoy Elvis Presley singing "Treat Me Nice" and appreciate your video of the clip excerpt from "Jailhouse Rock" movie. Which "version" is this audio recording? And, will you please post lyrics at (more info)? It is my hope to have single videos or each song from Elvis Presley movies. Are you who can do?
The interesting thing about this song is that Elvis thought it would be the big hit from the movie, not the song "Jailhouse Rock". Personally, like Elvis, I prefer "Treat Me Nice". Also, in 1961 Elvis performed this song live in Memphis, but not "Jailhouse Rock".
Rip Elvis MY Love and More Importantly Rip Judy Tyler... So sad You and ur husband died a couple weeks after the movie Came out..... I LOVE YOU ELVIS...
Different version that the single, more raw with different instumental and Jordanaire embellishments. Sounds like they smoothed the edges for the single which probably was recorded a bit later.
can you imagine a concert starring "elvis" "Jerry Lee" Little Richard" "Buddy Holly" "Eddie Cochrane" Fats Domino" Etc.____________________ Get me a ticket yesterday .
There is a never released movie of Elvis with Bill Haley and His Comets, Pat Boone, LaVern Baker, Roy Hamilton, Johnnie Ray, and others. It was from 1955 (a year before "Love Me Tender"). The movie was titled "The Pied Piper of Cleveland"
I like too much of Elvis singing rock.

As a youngster I grew up on the sounds of Elvis, but not until I first caught this
film one night on the Late Show did I really "get" the whole Elvis thing.
The arrangements had much to do with it. Way more powerful than the records.
