  • Hey u're the best on youtube! I bought one of ur notations, i'm french. peep some of my compos, try to learn from your style, but the mathematics in jazz are difficult. U're the best .

  • @groovatormonstruous I appreciate your comment.

  • @Lot2learn

I didn't mean ur style is mathematic cause it's REALLY not the case and that's what i like, sensitive and rythmic ! I meant, I 've got difficulties to learn all the chords etc ...

  • Very cool Jazz, as we like it, as ever ;-)

It made my backache to disappear!

You should be reimbursed by social security Roger !

  • McCoy's Style is so importantly captured by his use of 4ths over dominate 7th figures (over the Cm7, one could view that as a C7alt), The 4ths create a dramatic, yet exclusively unique open sound. McCoy's ability to seemingly integrate this feel into just about every piece he plays is what really defines his unique style. His use of the pentatonic scale (along with the altered minor pentatonic) also is signature to McCoy. This vid clearly demonstrates that you have mastered his style flawlessly!

  • Excellent playing as always! Also I wanted to note- the figure at :48, I know its a part of the head for 'Wave' but I realized that the sequence is pretty much exactly the same as "Blue Bossa" (look up the Dexter Gorden version on youtube and listen for the B section) Its even in the same key! It struck me because you didn't play the whole figure as written in the head, and where you ended it with the nice lick I nearly shouted "Blue Bossa?" at my monitor lol. Excellent work as always my friend!

  • hehe ... great visual software!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned a lot in an abstract sense just bu looking at the bopping blue keys and realizing it's not impossilbe to learn a little of this even for me. I'll make a hole in the schedule soon-ish to dig into this.

BTW you're a real keyboardist. I'm just a guitarist that need to fake some key stuff every once in a while haha

    Thanks for a great job!
