the only reason you would get a ringworm is if you are a sissy and dont shower right after practice, all sports all over the world is the same, there is always the ***** that is scared to shower, wrestling is the best sport, dont let a little ring worm scare you of the best sport, you can always kill it and always prevent it, make sure you use soap!

@slayerA0D I have gotting ring worm, I shower all the time after Judo and basketball and what not, I am extreamly clean to, and I got it. Sometimes people could touch a door handle at the mall when they had ring worm and you could have touched that same spot then rubbed your chest or something, you can get it that way too..

@MrBurnslide bleach is probably a bad idea if you dont know how to do it because although it will dissolve mold and fungus and remove the dead skin cells the mold uses for food , it can leave the living tissue damaged and susceptible to secondary bacterial infection.

You should bathe it in salt water,fungus hates salt,then apply a topical creme for fungus,ie,caneston.

If it has taken hold,you may have to take an oral anti fungal tablet/tablets

I got the bastard on my stomach back and arm nasty fucker, treating it with topical cream so hopefully should go. :) Athletes foot powder does have an effect on it if you have not got any cream also aloe vera is good :)

about last month it appeared as a rash on the back of my hand. it was in the form of blisters. i left it alone and it now it looks like a scar with no more blisters. it hasn't spread anywhere else and hasn't gotten worse.will prescription creams treat my ringworm condition even though ive had it for a month and a half now?

Apply clear nail polish to the affected area on a daily basis. What you are doing is suffocating the fungus. Sounds strange but it works.

Sorry I sounded harsh but yea it does not need air but, what may have worked for you is the fact that you were using something with strong ingredients. If that was the case then I assume nail polish remover would have worked too.

ring worm is a bacteria that make your scalp itch. symptoms are flacky itchy skin. and it will probably most likely burn and hurt really bad. you should go see a gp and they will give you great advice on what you should use if you have it.

Yes, if ringworm is bad, it is the most itchy horrible thing ever. A bad case you can't concentrate on anything! And DO NOT ITCH! It will get worse and worse! Trust me! Athletes foot and ringworm is a fungus, it has spores, unlike a bacteria, it has little "seeds" that are near invincible.... haha.... the spores re infect...they stay near invincible and spread very easily. Continue use of medicine long after symptoms are gone, the spores are very hard to rid of.

You need an anti fungal cream and possibly a steroid cream, see a doctor. Flamings right it's probably jock itch.

Bleach with Sodium Hydroxide (lye) will eat through your skin, and that wouldn't be good because not only would you have severe chemical burns, but the ringworm would bury deeper.

Creams fail because they take 4-8 weeks and they rip you off taking all your money and some yo can't use on your face like Lamisil.

Bleach is what? $1.50 for 3 quarts which would last you years (but the chlorine is lost over time as it sits and as its exposed to light so replace after at least 90 days), and you can use it to disinfect your home and surfaces to help rid of the infection, you can't do that with Lotrimin or Lamisil.

Having great results, also very useful for athletes foot too.

Bleach. Rid of most ringworms in 2 days. Make sure it only contains Sodium Hypochlorite (like Clorox) about 5.25% or 6% is average, dilute anywhere from 1-10 times and use, test a small amount and wait a while, if you get any allergic reactions discontinue use. I'm using a 1:2.5 solution. It doesn't leave chemical burns unless you use too much of a too strong solution on an open sore. Apply with a Q-Tip. To avoid reinfection put a couple tablespoons of bleach in bath and soak up for 20 mins. lol

Listen if you have not found a cure yet... as the creams didn't work for me. I used pure Tea Tree oil or you can use concentrated oil of Oregano both are anti fungal. Mine cured up in three days after use. I bought mine at a natural grocery store for under ten dollars. good luck!!!

Do NOT use bleach to dispose of ringworm. You will permanently damage your skin. Removing dead skin will make it harder for the fungi to thrive.

I have it, just treat it with anti fungal or the name brand I use is tinactin. All you do is rub it in for 2 weeks then It should be gone if not then talk to a doctor BUT after the 2 weeks are over, treat for another week so it dosn't come back.
