Why did Ireland turn down Norway's generous no-strings offer to pass on FREE, the expertise they built up in drilling? We have immigration laws in this country just like in the U.S. I have a friend that was pulled over on a routine traffic stop and ended up been detained and deported because he was illegal. Why did Ireland turn down Norway's generous no-strings offer to pass on FREE, the expertise they built up in drilling? Statoil also own a very large proportion of shell itself. It sounds strange that the norweigan state would be offering "Free" expertise to develop tghe corrib site when the Norweigan state had a large financial interest with the shell project itself.
