Someone needs to remake this game... and not just "in the spirit of the game" (though Supreme Commander [1st edition] was still one of the best strategy games ever made), but full-on TA remake with them ARM and CORE bad-asses.

A pity Gas-Powered Games seems to have been swallowed by Square Enix, though.

Seeing Core made the 'patterning' of conciousness into robots MANDATORY, I still side with Arm - a faction formed by fringe colonies refusing to cast away their 'mortal coils'. And thus the cause of the war.

And as much as the thought of becoming a robot sounds intriguing, I think I would still prefer to be a fleshy organic thing. :)

What does war lead to. at the intro it even states that both races where heaviely damaged and are still fighting the same war for over a thousand years. Why are we fighting over this. Our society is like this game in so many ways. You wouldn't have any idea until you figured it out and stop say arm or core is better. relate it to real life. The only factions in any game I feel that could challenge the Arm and the Core are the factions from what people view as Total Annihilation's spiritual successor, Supreme Commander. I suppose on could also count the Empire in Empire at War, though only if they use a bunch of Star Destroyers to level a planet for orbit, but I'm ignoring Star Wars games.
