Tom's voice in recent concerts is biased a lot toward this harder sound...and I miss the soulful eighties and seventies style sometimes. By the time he's done with the big stuff, and sits at the piano, his voice has become thin while he plays his older ballads. So, I wish he would sing more like his albums sound, instead of putting on the big heavy huffy thing for performances. I went to the Glitter and Doom...he did exactly what I describe here.
