@cdnbigfoot Thanks for the comment. I uploaded this video 4 years ago when youtube's quality was crap. I'll look into re-uploading a higher quality version.
some punks don't get that whatever you try to do in photoshop is doom to be flat as it is done on flat image, not the real scene. and it will only look like some ugly artificial blur. You can use ps to squeeze and shape your image, or even save it, but IT has to be there already.
This is a great tutorial. It's a good way to get a similar effect without actually using the lensbaby system. I much prefer the lensbaby system but that's only because the actual process of using the lens is fun to me. I enjoy getting my shots correct from the beginning and not having to do too much post. Good tutorial.
By the way, avoid the lensbaby at all costs. It's only like $300, and now comes in a PL mount. EVERY student in the goddamn world is going to be using this in their projects, music videos, and indie films over the next many months. This is going to be a highly dated and overused effect really soon.
Then why are you looking up how to do it now? People still have fun using these lenses and just because other people are using it makes no difference to me or others.

Good idea. I think I will use this but I still prefer the actual lensbaby. Just 'cause it is a cool looking lens.
