It's amazing to see how the core principles of all martial arts are the same. For example, 0:46 was straight out of a 14th century European martial arts manual. The last bit too. "If he wants to go that way, let him go, and help him along!" :D
This guy really understands body mechanics. Respect.
@insertoriginaluser EUROPEAN??? These core techniques pre-date anything European. As a matter of fact, there were several brothers with phenotypes as Sifu Rudy as well as Moors from other tribes teaching those people of europa before the arrival of Cristobal Columbo, so to say what he did @ ;46 was straight out of a 14th century....is like giving Europeans credit for something I know they had no hand in crafting. Much respect to you Sifu Rudy for your inspirational demonstration.
Sifu Rudy, nice work, I am a fan of your combat concepts. At present, I practice Sayoc kali (all blade all the time). The only difference is that my art is a blade art and yours is empty hand. But some of the footwork is similar and most important, both arts emphasize flow. I think flow is so underestimated, but is key to reading energy. Do you conduct seminars in Baltimore, MD or have affiliates in the area?
Keep the clips comming on the taji chuan! U are a real breath of fresh air with these clips with a realistic combat approach that is easy to understand.
