Yes, the clay bricks work great in batter boxes as well. One key to sustaining the bricks is to NOT let them completely dry out. Try to water and keep them a bit moist. If they completely dry out, they will turn into dust.
A LL mound is 6 inches above home plate. That means it is usually only a 4 inch bump in the infield (the field usually drains towards foul territory). Nearly all LL mounds are built too high.
Can you use "regular" bricks for this or do they need to be "clay only" bricks. Were getting are field ready for the season and were adding 2 pitching mounds in our bullpen and re-doining the game mound. Last thing: how high can a HIGHSCHOOL pitching mound be legaly. When I played it was 14' and Im pretty sure its changed since I played. Good stuff!! get back to me if you can.

As long as they are 'unfired' bricks they should work. A mound can be 10 inches high in high school now.
