There has never been anybody like Oksana. She easily puts ice, music and life together. It is not even normal for humans to put it all together. We are simply blessed to witness it.
oksana's dad was edeclareed legally dead, he just disappeared. aHer mopm died when she was 8 then her last relaive grandmother died i thnk 2 yrs after her mom. she then stayed whit her then coach at the rink but his closed down so her offered her to his friend &* coach of seegi & tatiana victor petrenko. 2 or 3 yrs later landed in middle of the 'regan , harding" fiasco at the 94 olympics and beat regn ( poor loser) by 3/10 ths of a point..
And whether you folks realize it or not, she went straight to rehab after her car crash at age 19, and then cleaned herself up! She hasn't drank since, and works very hard on other projects whether her skating is still spectacular or not. So please, have a little compassion and understanding! Alcoholism is a very devastating thing for anyone to go through, let alone just a young kid who lost her family!
These people have no clue what Oksana has had to overcome! And the TALENT that she has! I have NEVER seen a more beautiful & graceful skater! She is just amazing! She truly deserved to win those Olympics! And all washed-up?...I think NOT! She went into Rehab right after that accident & straighten herself out! I saw her a few years ago @ a Play on Ice here on Long Island & she was wonderful! I even got to met her, talk with her after! She was so nice & even gave me a hug! I just love her!
It really bothers me that people still can only talk about Oksana's alcohol problem.. she's in no way a washed up, broken down old drunk! Think of her life logically... She grew up with no male role model, lost all her family at 13, moved in with friends and then with a famous coach she didn't know... got (controversy or not) unexpected fame only two years later, and then had all these expectations. The pressure made her turn to alcohol, especially with no real-life role model!

Fantastic video. I love Oksana! I always remember what Scott Hamilton said about her; she doesn't even have to leave the ice and we are still fascinated with her skating. Amen.
i love this girls skating and i want toskate just like that one day. i ca ice skate and do a few tricks but i want to do proper Figure Skating one day, and that is rellie goood :D
