Some people are very narrow minded if you ever get the chance to train with john you will see just how good the man is. so stop sitting on your butt telling others how bad there karate is and go and train with the man
@krist300 Please qualify your remark. What makes something Karate or not Karate? On what do you base your glib comment? Is your understanding of Karate so limited that you cannot accept a different interpretation than your own?

Ueshiba, founder of Aikido stated that "90% of Aikido is Atemi" - does that make it Karate? For you to state categorically and without qualifying your statement that what was in my clip was not "karate" is without foundation and unnecessary. The clip demonstrates that there is more to Karate than blocking the attack of a fellow karate-ka.
@krist300 Any complete martial art that has sound concepts is going to look like other martial arts in some way shape or form. Regardless of where your from we all have the same body therefore will come to the same conclusions with effective principles and concepts.

I would like to see some more short clips of different bunkai so I can get a better overall view of what you are doing. Even some real basic block punch would be cool. I like the way you are doing your karate.
Sensei John Burke is without a doubt one of the best teachers of real bunkai in the uk,check out his book 'Fortress Storming' you won't be disappointed.

3rd degree shotokan brown belt stopped training about 13 years ago, did it on and off last couple years. this looks like akido and ????
