The only thing I use is the excavator or " trackhoe " . I dig beside the vein , and then work the deposit by hand with a digging bar .

I sell for jewelry , for specimen collectors , to museums , etc . No industrial applications though !
Out of curiosity, what kind of machinery besides the excavator do you use at a crystal mine? Aren't crystals fragile?

the excavator is only used to expose the veins . Once the vein is exposed , the crystals are removed by hand with a screw driver or digging bar . You can watch my other video to see the use of the digging bar .
