Well, not exactly. You can still set limits as a parent. The real world reflects limits and limitations. Give them 2 or 3 flowers instead of the whole bunch. Give them clothes they can screw up and send them on their way. Explain to them why banging the pots is irritating and teach them science at the same time. You don't have to let your child run amuck to learn science. My children all have very scientific minds yet I still have rules in my house. I gave them freedom to explore, within reason.
