the laughter wasnt the main thing that they compared, sure it was a minor similarity... but its that kira and lelouch were takeing over the world. the main charicter somehow had an evil feel to him, and they use these crazy plans that would otherwise seem impossible... >.>

the series itself are not alike but there are some details that are alike... like the fact that lulu and light are both very smart students who appear to be nice and normal in front of their friends and family but have an abnormal power and a big plan that they plan to use to control the word (in lights case) and bring down the most powerful governor in the world (in lulus case).... plus ryuks and C.C's characters started out the same but CC actually helps lulu while ryuk just has fun
