I'll never forget being at this show. Such a good vibe in the crowd even though we all knew it was to be their last show. This is when the scene was great, when people cared for each other and the music. Those days are gone and it sucks. I spent a big part of my life going to shows meeting all kinds of people and just enjoying every second of it. Life was good then, not a care in the world, just the music and your friends. Thank you TDF.
Not Metalcore, nothing about this sounds like metal. Having said that these dudes were super nice remember talking to the lead singer outside Under the couch in Atlanta back in 2002.
I worked with the singer, Mike Shaw, at a diner in State College, Pa, for about a year or so. He is the nicest and most humble guy ever... but he would still flip customers off and tell them to get the fuck out if they were being drunk and belligerent. I miss Mike Shaw... THE MAN!
Yeah I think this was at the First Unitarian Church in Phili. Dec 21 2003. They played with Trunk Full of Dead Bodies, Albert React and Alexisonfire. It was their last show ever and it was the first hardcore show I ever went to so it made a huge impression on me. I can't believe I remember it like it was yesterday.
@xStaycleanx Even if it is, these guys werent metalcore. They were a post-hardcore band. Just because theres singing along with shouted vox doesnt make it metalcore dude.
@xStaycleanx Well look at it this way. When Kairos and like In Response came out, theyd already changed their sound from the beginnings. They may have started out as a metalcore outfit, but they did not end that way.
Worst part was that this show got cut short cause of booking problems... they were only supposed to play 1 more song but right after the song before this ended, they went right into this. So sick. Was anyone at the show 2 before this final one? It was in Bensalem at polanka and it got shut down but they played If I Wore a mask comepletley unplugged. It was wonderful.
i forgot how good colin is at drums!!

@HATExXxYOU Your post really made me think back. Nowadays all kids want to do is hurt others at shows like this. It's a fucking disgrace!

@asoftapproach ....really???
marcatdel 1 year ago
@asoftapproach Yeah, it is. Metalcore is just a subgenre of hardcore. It's not like they're claiming Bring Me the Horizon is hardcore.
