  • Can I borrow your voice for my documentary?

  • what brand of spring compressor is that one

  • That was like reading headlines. useless

  • fronts require more work than 15 mins, rears are always easier.

  • are you supposed to jack it up on the suspension or the frame?

  • @stratgeek09 Never jack it up on mechanical parts, or body parts. Always take the frame. Behind the front wheel or in front of the back wheels. The trick is to take the tension out of the coil. When it is stretched or compressed it can be dangerous and hard to dismount. That's why they place a stand under the axle, to carry the coil out of tension, and keep it in place.

  • Coil spring compressor tool is a must and that is a lot of pressure in that coil until its let out they are the most dangerous part of the job but easy if you have the right tool. See if you can get a loaner or you'll have to shell out 50 bucks for one.

  • @dmgcat If you leave the tire on & remove the bolts then raise the car it won't be dangerous at all...

  • Is it much more difficult to replace coilover dampeners?

  • i just changed the shocks on my truck. It had to be one of the hardest things i have ever changed on a vehicle

  • Its not that easy.

    get help if you dont
