  • Ginger's head looks so tiny compared to Carol's head. Funny to see, but both are beautiful and talented.

  • I saw Ginger at the London Palladium in 1985. She was on a double bill with Donald O' Conner. A wonderful show. Ginger has such amazing eyes.

  • I love seeing the openings. Thanks for including that!

  • Carol Channing has such a sex appeal then......

  • I'd love to have seen it as a Betty Grable-Dan Daily picture.

Gower Champion said, "Betty Grable really was Dolly.

  • Dorothy K died not long after this, in a bedroom she never used, in a bed she never slept in, wearing an old prescription of glasses she didn't wear, holding a book upside down she'd already read. She was investigating JFK's assassination. (Accidental death). Sad.

  • @verbaud OOPS!

  • I am positive they told them the guests ahead of time. It tickles me that Ginger carried her evening bag out with her lol.

  • Never tire of watching these shows - and there are so many years of episodes - best show ever - I agree !

  • Ginger looks good for being in her 50s!

  • @BornYesterday0126 Such a beauty! One of the cutest personalities of all time.

  • I love every single post of WML. THIS MAY BE THE BEST EVER !!! Showing the intro's, Bennett's horrid quip, and my heart's desire : Ginger Rogers.

  • Wow Arlene was right!, two beautiful ladies..could they have sung together a complete song? I love both ladies..well Ginger is one of my very best!

  • I think the film of Hello Dolly was made just 4 years later in 1969. What a shame they didn't cast Ginger Rogers instead of Barbra Streisand. I think Streisand was too young for the role.

    Ginger looks great here!

  • @TheRiverquest yes, barb. was too young. the film would have been great with ginger, her age was right at the time, and she could sing, so it wouldn't have been like Lucy doing "Mame"

  • What an awful pun, Bennet.

  • Man, Dorothy is sloshed out of her mind...

  • Wow. Carol was wearing pants. Pretty unusual back then and pretty darn tight!!!

  • What date was this broadcast? I don't recall seeing it.

  • Ryan Stiles impersonates Carol Channing on Whose Line like a pro!!!! LOL!!!

  • @weightfeather1 And the first film with Clint Eastwood.

  • Do you think Carol squeezed enough juice out of the Hello Dolly plum?

  • I wish television was like this again...simple and enjoyable!

  • My Lovely Ginger Rogers!!!

  • SOMEONE SHOULD PUT UP ALL THE TIMES GINGER WAS ON WHATS MY LINE! thank you kindly.

  • @coolkid1234533 I second that!

  • Thanks very much for this, and all the others.

  • I have never seen this one. Thanks for the upload. Where did you get it? I would like to get Ginger's appearances on What's My Line. I enjoyed it. Carol and Ginger were great friends even though their movie was not that great.

  • 8:09 -- David Merrick, the Broadway shark who produced Hello Dolly, appeared as a mystery guest the next year (1966) on a 10:30 live broadcast on a night when another episode of WML was videotaped at 8:30 for later broadcast. Not being an actor, he arrived early. He sat in the control booth, watched mystery guest Pearl Bailey and started contemplating an all-black version of "Hello Dolly." Gil Fates claims Merrick and Bailey went out for supper at 11:00 p.m. to discuss that production.

  • 0:10 -- Wow: Dorothy Kilgallen at the height of her big-hair,sophisticated woman of the world, international journalist phase. Stunning gown, too.

1:00 -- Arlene looks good, too. Too bad 1965 WML did not broadcast in color, particularly on a night when Kilgallen, Francis, Channing, Rogers, and Ball all appeared in their best high fashion.

There are "I've Got a Secret" "WML" YouTube clips involving Arlene Francis's gimmick for "Mrs. Dally" -- she had to play the slide trombone.

  • @soulierinvestments True, Dorothy looks lovely, though she has evidently had a snoot full prior to the show. Sad, her demise ...

  • Carol Channing has the best voice in the world!!!!!!!!

  • haha I love Carol Channing. I was lucky enough to see her in Hello Dolly in '95 when I was 6 years old. My parents took me because I was obsessed with the movie.

Also <3 Ginger! You can tell they are good friends

  • Thank you so much for this! Ginger is amazing and she looks great! :D

  • Ginger looks so beautiful!

  • oh thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE these two. Thanks for uploading!!! Got anymore Ginger?
