  • may God bless you and i am sure the bahais will bring peace in the world

    may God help you

  • @MsAnchwa God bless you too! :)

  • There are rights and wrongs in this world. You can copy the ideology and overall concepts behind Christianity, but at the expense of separating it from reason. The Bahá'í faith, as far as I'm concerned, is nothing more than a call for unity promoted by "love" that will never happen; you have to accept what you believe as truth or lies. Your faith will fail because war, famine, and atrocities against humans will occur because all humans are inherently evil.

  • You may have a very misanthropic view of man but I do not share that view. I recommend that you finish watching the rest of Brian's speech.

I wish you only the best,

    Jakob

  • Your concept that "everyone can be right" is impossible. Other religions do not recognize the union or joining of others, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity chief among them. Islam is about killing those who do not submit to the military might of doctrine and ideals listed in the Qur'an. Muslims, quite literally, are commanded to take over the world and oppress those not Muslim. It is within the principles of your Bahá'í faith, but hardly with the same methods. There is no love in Islam.

  • You don't seem to know very much about Islam. Did you know that our culture is based on the work of Islamic scholars? Though Islam may be in it's middle ages today does not mean that that is all that Islam is. If you had researched better you would know that Muslims are only allowed defensive war. That some Muslims fall far away from this ideal does not define Islam any more than the Inquisition defined Christianity.

  • Allah =/= Yahweh. Yahweh created the world in His infinite Love, as Love, so much that He became Human and died, allowing bad things to happen (such as sin) to give us a chance to understand how much He Loved us. Christianity is nothing more than Loving others unconditionally. Allah instructs Muslims to murder anyone who doesn't submit to his oppressive views, esp. Jews and Christians. Those are 2 completely different deities there.

  • Did you know that in Aramaic god is actually called Allah? Are you a polytheist? I thought the Bible taught that there is only one God...

  • Yes I know the word "God" is "Allah", but the English language has room for the word "god" in different interpretations. It's not the same in Arabic. But there's other languages spoken too, like Farsi, Swahili, and Somali, and people who speak those languages recognize the Islamic deity as "Allah". You're using an international grammar problem to support a completely unrelated argument.

  • What do you think Arabic speaking Cristian call God?

  • What I have said is that the the Islamic vision of a supreme deity, Allah, and any other god or gods, is absolutely nothing like the God of the Bible, whom I specifically identified as Yahweh, as mentioned in the video which is not correct.

  • That's akin to saying that the God of the old testament is not the same as the God of the new testament.

  • The moment he mentioned God as "it" I know this whole thing is false. You refer to God as "Him", Someone Who created us for a special purpose in a special relationship. Christianity solve all the problems the Bahá'í faith tries to bring about and more, explains it all. All people are evil and nobody wants unity, everyone wants to selfishly be on top. Oneness won't ever be achieved and there will always be war, all the up until the Millennial Kingdom. Until then, it's impossible.

  • he is so right. Thank you for this leason. His english ist very good, so that people from other countrys can easy understand. Sehr interessant. Sehr einfach zu verstehen und sehr gut erklärt.

  • Hello there UDRF

Alla'u'abha...Thank you for up loading this Video...I always watch this to remind myself how I came to know and accepted the Faith 12 years ago...once again thank you

  • My pleasure :)

  • Peace,

I do wonder why a one God would send a differant messenger to differant lands at differant times and expect anything less then war... If everyone bought into Bahai it would be so wonderful

  • Dear GoneTemple

According to the principle of progressive revelation God reveals His purpose to man according to mans capacity to receive His message Before, religions have had relatively little contact with each other and, considering physical circumstances, have had little use of such concepts as world unity Today God has united the world physically so that the age old promise of all divine religions of a world united spiritually may finally be fulfilled. This is the purpose the Bahá'í Faith

  • In reality. All the different religions are but One ever evolving Religion ,,eternal in the past, eternal in the future." The problem is people sometimes only see the names but are blind to the essence.

  • The reality is there will always be extremist who take a single oart of their faith and rally the masses behind it and cause war... the lesson of 9-11... what if they had nukes?

I too want a save and peaceful world... How can someone convince me that these religious fundementalist will one day come at peace and join the Baha'i ?

  • Well... My view is that one way or another people will be forced to change the way they think and act in this world. I believe that this will happen as a result of their own inaction in terms of building unity and peace in the world and because of actions which actively create disunity and destruction. The world and it's peoples can only take so much before something gives away.

  • We do have a choice however. We can choose to be an active part of the integrative unifying processes which will become the foundation of a peaceful future or we can do nothing or even be a part of the disintegrative processes which are steadily collapsing the old world order of which the extremists are a part. As individuals we can only affect our own choices but as more of us choose the peaceful way more will follow :)

  • I dont understand how that works. for example in islam it is a sin to belive god had any relatives, however in hinduism its a common belifs that gods had families and got married. which brings me to the point that if all religions are one big religion then ther would be many conflicting aspects of the religion, therfore making this ultmate religion imperfect.

  • Progressive revelation teaches that God teaches us in accordance with our capacity to understand. So in one place and time you will find a universal truth expressed in a different way than you will find in another. Adding to this is that in Hinduism all the different gods are just symbols of the One God in the same way as in Islam you have many attributes/names of God.

  • But why doesnt god just teach us all the same thing why do diffrent civilisation have to learn diffrent at diffrent rates? if god wanted to teach us something god could have of sent da simple message and taught the whole world at the same time.

  • To my simple understanding it is because humanity is always progressing. We are like the person who first experiences infancy, then childhood, then youth and so on. Each period requires different approaches to spiritual knowledge.

  • ? sry but that doesnt answer the question i possed.

  • ok. To me it seems obvious that God can do whatever He likes but because He has chosen to give us free will He does not treat us like cattle but deigns to shape His guidance in a way that we can understand and accept. Because until modern times people have been very scattered and diverse in nature and learning God has sent messengers that taught each tribe and group in a way that they could understand and accept.

  • So by that logic your saying god has given an advantage to certain people leave the rest of the people that have not given that advantage to struggle. thats unfair.

  • Nope. That's not what I said. God has never left any part of humanity without guidance. Watch the rest of the videos ;)

  • Mate you seem to be a decent person so please to just look into islam and if you have already done that then look into shiaism. if you need any credable sources ill help you out.

  • Thank you :)

Having an unquenchable thirst for knowledge when it comes to religions has led me to learn a bit about Islam and I will continue to do so. I cherish the Quran and the wisdom found in there.

But by being a Bahá'í I get to accept Islam but I could never turn my back on the Bahá'í faith only to be able to fit into another persons world view.

Thank you for the wonderful discussion :)

  • Thanks buddy for posting this wonderful video...
