Normal people have aspergers imho. Diversity in any population is normal. We, being an aspie myself, may be normal and atypical without contradiction. There is a kind of beauty in accepting that and learning to tolerate differences in others that We aren't necesarily confortable with. I think that was a major breakthrough for me. I learned to accept that being different was ok, and that my concrete thinking was barring me from others. Once i opened up i began to learn far better how to be social.
here is a question form Asperger side of things. is there any normal Neurotypical person. I think not ever body is strange just the norm of things most people go by more Neurotypical then us AS but we are all human
@AspergersGirl Normal conforming to the standard or the common type. Just think a sec what if more people had Asperger that will mean that be the norm right, so what normal for some is not for others no such thing being normal. Normal is from the majority of people
yeah of course there is 'normal' people out there with autism. I've autism myself and on the outside there's nothing (anymore) that shows just how powerful my diability really is. But back when I was a child, you could tell I had something because I was rocking, didn't speak until I was nine years old, I could speak but chose not to and I was just simply not like other kids. Today I'm talking, singing, stopped rocking and I've my own chose of what to do and not to. So hey, of course.
I have voiced my opinon to a few of my friends about me having Asperger's but they're all saying: oh you're to normal to have Asperger's, like they know excatly what is going on in my head.
The person I show outwards is not the person I am inside. We all put on masks, but I believe people with Asperger's more so, because we want to fit in, but know that if we are ourselves we will seem odd.
It's bullshit! Aspergers does not exist, why the fuck is this chick saying she's not normal? What the fuck does normal mean? What the fuck is not normal about her? I was also diagnosed with this disorder. Fuck psychiatry it's a pseudo science! Psychiatrists are not doctors, their so called expertiese is not based on any scientifict evidence but they just socially cosntruct people.
@jebus0000000 Psychiatrists are medical doctors trained in medicine. Psychiatric diagnoses are often controversial and not without reason, however, you are incorrect in saying they are not based in scientific evidence. There is considerable research on the psychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia and depression. You have some reading to do. If you encountered someone who was dealing with auditory or visual hallucinations, for example, would you really fail to refer them to mental health?
Yeah I get the whole everything Im complaining about is normal response from a lot of people. And the I dont see anything wrong with you. Then later when something happens, they accuse me of being insensitive, rude, or weird. I find it pointless to disclose until I actually know the person has accepted me for me without knowing then I'll consider telling them.
yess i'm a verry high functioning person with the conditon as well, poeple look at me like i'm a wiredo when they see my eccentricitys and wounder why i act like that, and then if i tell them they look at me as if i'm making shit up, ughhh nts cant live with 'em can't live with out 'em lol
i have asperger syndrom, not fully, but i have it. so most of the time you dont see immediately, that there is something wrong. a lot of people tell me also such things: you are neurotic, you exagerate etc. but it causes me a lot of problems: i have almost no friends, it s often unstandable for me to go to parties and have conversations etc. and when people see these weird things in my behaviour they are kind of intolerant, but still not interested in the reason for all this.
You can't tell with me unless you know about asperger's or work with people with it. I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood and was made fun of alot for being different in school. It was the asperger's. It's hard to tell now though.
Helicopters shitting our mario fireballs while I'm squeezing lemonade with my ass.
That's my perspective with life throwing you lemons.
Asperger's can be learned, not really. I sort of have the mind of my friend who I grew up with since we were 4. God the times we had. I seriously wish both of our imaginations went back then.
Just my opinion: society is sick. The fact that there is an Asperger's label means it's "different". Before labels we were just humans. We knew that intrinsically.
Grrr another trying to get the trendy apsie/Autism label! You are more low self-esteem and maybe borderline personality disorder. STOP SELF-DIAGNOSING!
I have Aspergers and theres nothing wrong with me. I like being Autistic. I see the world from a unique perspective and usually in a better way, its just unfourtunate that other people can't. I'm not trying to sound like I think Im better than other people, because Im not. Im just saying there are certain things I can realize easily, that others cant. In the same way there are things others can realize but due to Asperger's, I can't, or just have trouble doing so.
Having Aspergers gives me the right to say that those with it should have been aborted. You might as well be dead being condemned to live a miserable lonely life.
yeah because you have a REALLY HARD LIFE because of autism dont you? You have a pussy and thats why you manage to live such a normal life despite your aspergers.
Normal... ...? Who's to say we ar not normal, and every one else is "different"? Or who's to say something like its normal to be a male or female, or to be white or black or asain or hispanic?
Have you ever heard of the term 'bull in a china shop' ? Well the true meaning of that is to describe people that do not get on well with their environment i.e it does not serve their needs so they screw up. Aspergers, ADHD, Bi-polar bears etc have that problem. Star children

@philsaspiezone Your point is quite correct, but a more apt analogy would be that some computers run on Windows, some on Mac OS, and some even on Lynux.

Not sure if it's cool to say this , Fiona in this vid looks 15. Had no idea AS people look younger, The more I read the more I learn. perhaps it's true when I moved into my apartment building neighbours thought I was 15 when I was 22
If you want to take NT as an insult, go right ahead. Your tone about how it "pisses you off" is not appreciated. From an Aspie point of view, NTs are over-emotional, often dishonest and even cruel, and are logically deficient. So yes, after being branded as socially retarded and worse, 'NT" is pretty tame.
If you see it as an insult, imagine how being labelled AS feels for us. AS says people lack things "normal" people have. NT defines NT's in terms of *THEIR* deficiencies. NT people do not understand the harm and damage their "normal" behaviour can cause. Telling people they are NT is the first step to getting them to understand their limitations in the world. Sadly arrogance, bigotry and ignorance is the NT way so they may not even read about it - part of their condition sadly.
People always mistake my autism for me being an asshole or trying to piss them off. For example when I'm playing poker I give more priority to stacking my chips than playing the game people think I'm fuckin around but they don't get that I HAVE TO STACK THE CHIPS cuz it'll be at the back of my minding pissing me off the whole game if I don't.
Ahah your in the exact same situation I am. People tell me "I don't think of you as autistic" and crap like that. Its only my family and friends who have known it for a long time and I was accidentally diagnosed a couple of years ago when I visited a psychiatrist for an ADD assessment.
contiuning from the above autism /apsergers is a part of who you are its got nothing to do with how good looking you are or wether you can get bf gf or mates if anyone dosent see the beuty of youre mind and heart and think shes good looking i dont care at all about her or same for a guy its not worth it iam autistic ( got apsergers ) and they cant accept me for me then i dont want to know hunny you are a great person dont forget that

@seaweedbeach damnnnn sexy as hell lol... then again i couldnt tell either of these girls had anything until i found out, jus look like normal chicks, i get the same from ppl until i start gettin hyper and blurting out random shit lol.... fuckin tourettes :S
@mtbers this was 2 years ago the question is why are u commenting on it ... to answer your question i dont know many people with aspergers so yeah... shallow? no... just never met anyone with aspergers that it didnt seem obvious they had it something wrong with them, unlike this girl
@KitchenerBombSquad Just cause the video is 2 years old doesn't mean people still don't view it, I've commented on older videos than this and still get replys on my comments. Why would I not place a comment on a video that is 2 years old?
@mtbers you say why not, i say what's the point... getting sick of reading random youtube comments, its understandable when its a couple months ago but 2 years to a comment that wasnt even directed at you? or are you just a girl with aspergers and your mad that i said that?
@KitchenerBombSquad I'm a male and I like reading random comments in order to understand other peoples perspective. I don't see how the age of the video has much importance or are you one of those who conform to pop culture and simply follow what is the current trend and what has just been uploaded?
@mtbers dude i just explained it to you, if i knew people were going to be responding to old ass comments i would of deleted them a long time ago, getting sick of people hounding me with comments as if they know exactly what theyre talking about ( when they dont )...
@KitchenerBombSquad Simple solution here as you say it your self, "getting sick of people hounding me with comments". Maybe you should stop commenting on videos if you don't want replys to your comments.
@mtbers yeah notice how this was 2 years ago, you make no sense whatsoever... and do yourself a favor too, stop talking to random people, if you're studying people on youtube it probably means you dont have many people to talk to in real life, so do us both a favor, just stop talking... if thats even possible
@KitchenerBombSquad Back to the 2 years argument a? I like talking to random people on online as it doesn't involve actually having to meet them. I can say I would not want to meet you in real life. With comment as shallow as you post you are probably a real cock.
@mtbers yeah thats why everyone hates people like you, you sound proud to be able to hide behind a computer screen thats the most backwards shit ive ever witnessed to this day... really no one wants to talk to you, so you're just being a pest wether you can accept that or not... and i explained how my comment wasnt shallow like what, 4 comments ago? do you have memory problems aswell? honestly im not a dick in person, unless you were to talk to me like this face to face, and who would do that?
@KitchenerBombSquad Its not about looks. its about heart. if your one of those looking for the looks and not feeling you can go to hell mate. im not good looking myself but im proud of who i am anyways. looking for women with looks may give you sex but not love.
@Mandycandy999 wow i thought people were done replying to this comment, i think i should just remove it, ive never met any good looking women with aspergers, what you're saying aswell as everyone else that has replied to this comment doesnt apply to what i actually said, just read the comment again dont over complicate it, why is everyone on these aspies links so fuckin controversial, it was more of a compliment to this girl if anything
I'm autistic, I'm pretty normal, except for the fact I can't talk to people in real life. Like, very shy. You know what I'm talking about you autistic people out there?
yea i hear ya there, got the same thing going myself
i might join a club or something though, that way theres something to talk about and you also have some time to think before replying, whilst pretending to be doing something =)
My brother has Aspergers, and he has a real hard time coping with it, he finds it really hard to socialise and communicate. It really tares me up, because I know how unhappy and angry he is. He's also feircely intelligent, but most people treat him like a weirdo because they don't understand him.
I have AS and I am normal too. More normal than you. :-) . Naahh, you speak a little bit to fast but otherwise I don't see that you would have any difficulties communicating with people. Maybe I should upload videos of my self where I teach people about life and how to live. "HOW TO LIVE" videos.
H0D0NKAIN , I have experienced Synesthesia and I think that it comes with AS and it is a genetic leap forward (I liked the way you said it). Synesthesia is not craziness, like some "scientists" proclame, it is just something special that certain people are able to tap into easier because of how their brain is wired/working.
Interesting. How long is your line? I know my father had it and my grandfather has it too. I think he got it from my great-grandmother and that's as far as i could trace it.
About it being genetic, only the routines and not following the herd are. The other symptoms are developed thru life, purely mental stuff.
My Dad is a Math Professor and I am pretty sure he has autism. My Mom was a Math teacher and I am sure she was autistic (she was not communicating almost at all, but LOVED her job and teaching). In my country those people are not picked on because they act peculiar, but they are respected for their qualities. My daughter and I were diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and we are having a pretty hard life socially so far (I am not in my country of origin anymore).
See what I don't get about this. Being not normal is what humans are all about. We change our "normal" environment. That's why we aren't still living in trees.
But one of the things about at least HFA anyway is that adapting to adifferent enviroment can be a lot more difficult than for other people. Kind of like a chameleon (sp?) with a broken colour change mechanic.
Basically, one whom has adapted to his or her own environment. Placed outside of it, or around things that you are not use to, can be labeled as "not normal" which can cause mental melt downs, stress, anxiety and ect.
I can completey relate to that. I have aspergers and people that I'm close to I tell them I have aspergers but they see nothing wrong. I guess I'm sometimes on the high functioning side but it's difficult for some people to see it. I also respond differently to different people.
I can definitely agree with acting much different with different people. My biggest turn off and tanrum starter is an uncaring person. I am not saying that I am perfect myself, but knowing how it upsets me to deal with mean people, I try so hard to be kind...
ur like me; u can't even look into the CAMERA lens..haha it's also like looking into the eyes of a person--just KNOWING that ppl are watching through the lens gives anxiety. i see u look at the computer where u can kinda see the angle of ur facial expressions and whatnot-that is exactly what i do on cam hahah!
brockie, temple has achieved more than you probably ever will. so shut the fuck up about being better. she's not a worse person for having autism. but seems you are. :G
also, you deleted my comment you pussy. :D fuck off with your aspie elitist world distortion. you're not better than all the fucking spazzes out there.
also, you look like a spazz. get used to being one and embrace your tardness, you'll be happier. :P
"Yeah I know most people say assburgers, I say asperjers, I thought I'd better try saying it two different ways.
I am aspergers very quirky, not HFA although I don't really know the difference :)"
Apparantly one of the reasons I was diagnosed with HFA rather than AS was because of something to do with not crawling before I walked or something like that. Apart from that I can't really tell the difference either.
Females with aspergers are quite rare. Workplace politics are my struggle. I just cannot understand why neurotypicals do what they do. You seem genuine with your statements. Perhaps you can check out a group named GRASP which supports adults with aspergers.
Current theory for that is that as females are naturally better at social / empathy, etc, they can adapt better at minimising signs. eg. what would be a extreme autistic boy, because of the natural differences of the female brain is diagnosed as higher functioning. So what would be higher functioning is not picked up at all because of the sex differences.
Isn't that a bit of a stereotype? Most girls I know are no more or less empathetic than most males. I've also known just as many antisocial females as antisocial males.
Not a sterotype. The female brain differs from the male brain, its been proven, there are even tests to see how much of a percentage your brain has male / female traits. Have a look into the current research into gender brain physiology and behaviour differences, makes for some interesting reading, particually as to why there are some rare exceptions to the rule. Anyway, its not just the simple empathy difference, but a lot more that can't fit into the word count of a comment. Try google.
The thing is, what is normal?

@KitchenerBombSquad Just cause the video is 2 years old doesn't mean people still don't view it, I've commented on older videos than this and still get replys on my comments. Why would I not place a comment on a video that is 2 years old?
mtbers 8 months ago
@mtbers you say why not, i say what's the point... getting sick of reading random youtube comments, its understandable when its a couple months ago but 2 years to a comment that wasnt even directed at you? or are you just a girl with aspergers and your mad that i said that?
KitchenerBombSquad 8 months ago
@KitchenerBombSquad I'm a male and I like reading random comments in order to understand other peoples perspective. I don't see how the age of the video has much importance or are you one of those who conform to pop culture and simply follow what is the current trend and what has just been uploaded?
mtbers 8 months ago
@mtbers dude i just explained it to you, if i knew people were going to be responding to old ass comments i would of deleted them a long time ago, getting sick of people hounding me with comments as if they know exactly what theyre talking about ( when they dont )...
KitchenerBombSquad 8 months ago
@KitchenerBombSquad Simple solution here as you say it your self, "getting sick of people hounding me with comments". Maybe you should stop commenting on videos if you don't want replys to your comments.
mtbers 8 months ago
@mtbers yeah notice how this was 2 years ago, you make no sense whatsoever... and do yourself a favor too, stop talking to random people, if you're studying people on youtube it probably means you dont have many people to talk to in real life, so do us both a favor, just stop talking... if thats even possible
KitchenerBombSquad 8 months ago
@KitchenerBombSquad Back to the 2 years argument a? I like talking to random people on online as it doesn't involve actually having to meet them. I can say I would not want to meet you in real life. With comment as shallow as you post you are probably a real cock.
mtbers 8 months ago
@mtbers yeah thats why everyone hates people like you, you sound proud to be able to hide behind a computer screen thats the most backwards shit ive ever witnessed to this day... really no one wants to talk to you, so you're just being a pest wether you can accept that or not... and i explained how my comment wasnt shallow like what, 4 comments ago? do you have memory problems aswell? honestly im not a dick in person, unless you were to talk to me like this face to face, and who would do that?
KitchenerBombSquad 8 months ago
@KitchenerBombSquad Its not about looks. its about heart. if your one of those looking for the looks and not feeling you can go to hell mate. im not good looking myself but im proud of who i am anyways. looking for women with looks may give you sex but not love.
Mandycandy999 6 months ago
@Mandycandy999 wow i thought people were done replying to this comment, i think i should just remove it, ive never met any good looking women with aspergers, what you're saying aswell as everyone else that has replied to this comment doesnt apply to what i actually said, just read the comment again dont over complicate it, why is everyone on these aspies links so fuckin controversial, it was more of a compliment to this girl if anything

I'm autistic, I'm pretty normal, except for the fact I can't talk to people in real life. Like, very shy. You know what I'm talking about you autistic people out there?
OnAChairSitting 2 years ago
yea i hear ya there, got the same thing going myself
i might join a club or something though, that way theres something to talk about and you also have some time to think before replying, whilst pretending to be doing something =)
gamiezion 2 years ago
LOL did you find it easy to make relationshps as you certainly look hot enough I don't think you would have had it hard to get male attention
Aspergianstar2009 2 years ago
My brother has Aspergers, and he has a real hard time coping with it, he finds it really hard to socialise and communicate. It really tares me up, because I know how unhappy and angry he is. He's also feircely intelligent, but most people treat him like a weirdo because they don't understand him.
VideoBender09 2 years ago
I have AS and I am normal too. More normal than you. :-) . Naahh, you speak a little bit to fast but otherwise I don't see that you would have any difficulties communicating with people. Maybe I should upload videos of my self where I teach people about life and how to live. "HOW TO LIVE" videos.
Jurijgud 2 years ago
Nobody is completely normal.

H0D0NKAIN , I have experienced Synesthesia and I think that it comes with AS and it is a genetic leap forward (I liked the way you said it). Synesthesia is not craziness, like some "scientists" proclame, it is just something special that certain people are able to tap into easier because of how their brain is wired/working.
elenacerasela 2 years ago
Actually I think its more common than people think. I do think its possibly genetic though, there is a direct line of aspergers people in my family.
AspergersGirl 2 years ago
Interesting. How long is your line? I know my father had it and my grandfather has it too. I think he got it from my great-grandmother and that's as far as i could trace it.
About it being genetic, only the routines and not following the herd are. The other symptoms are developed thru life, purely mental stuff.

My Dad is a Math Professor and I am pretty sure he has autism. My Mom was a Math teacher and I am sure she was autistic (she was not communicating almost at all, but LOVED her job and teaching). In my country those people are not picked on because they act peculiar, but they are respected for their qualities. My daughter and I were diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and we are having a pretty hard life socially so far (I am not in my country of origin anymore).
elenacerasela 2 years ago
My grandma came from Australia, and my Great Grandma was Aborigine. My dad is Bipolar, and so is my sister. I'm the only Aspie in the family.
I wish that there were family members that understood what it's like.
hodonkain 2 years ago
Sorry, I forgot to note that there is a high level of mentally "different" (not wanting to say handicapped) people in Australia. Statistics say.
That's why I mentioned it. :)
hodonkain 2 years ago
errr... I'm not Australian.. if that helps
AspergersGirl 2 years ago
See what I don't get about this. Being not normal is what humans are all about. We change our "normal" environment. That's why we aren't still living in trees.
Gerro15A 2 years ago 2
But one of the things about at least HFA anyway is that adapting to adifferent enviroment can be a lot more difficult than for other people. Kind of like a chameleon (sp?) with a broken colour change mechanic.
jakerockznoodles 2 years ago 3
Basically, one whom has adapted to his or her own environment. Placed outside of it, or around things that you are not use to, can be labeled as "not normal" which can cause mental melt downs, stress, anxiety and ect.
NamekianPikkoro7 2 years ago
I can completey relate to that. I have aspergers and people that I'm close to I tell them I have aspergers but they see nothing wrong. I guess I'm sometimes on the high functioning side but it's difficult for some people to see it. I also respond differently to different people.
Fireclaw2k 3 years ago
I can definitely agree with acting much different with different people. My biggest turn off and tanrum starter is an uncaring person. I am not saying that I am perfect myself, but knowing how it upsets me to deal with mean people, I try so hard to be kind...
elenacerasela 2 years ago
This is SO true.

Have you ever read Temple Grandins books. She has aspergers and makes a lot of interesting points.

Please don't be offended but man you're attractive.
P.S. I'm a Kiwi Aspie too/
ophiuchus14 3 years ago 3
yeah, but is still rarer in females than in males. many females do have it, but it is STILL rarer in females.
robokill387 3 years ago
how is that offensive? many conditions are sex linked, colour blindness, haemophilia, etc.
robokill387 3 years ago
I have high-functioning aspergers. When I was diagnosed, nobody believed it. They all said "aren't those guys supposed to be geniuses or something?"

Hello
thehealthierlife
if you look this up in your browser you can click on the letter "a" and see what they say about autism, take care young people :O)
bendemps1 3 years ago
ur like me; u can't even look into the CAMERA lens..haha it's also like looking into the eyes of a person--just KNOWING that ppl are watching through the lens gives anxiety. i see u look at the computer where u can kinda see the angle of ur facial expressions and whatnot-that is exactly what i do on cam hahah!
raecelestek 3 years ago
Usually the only people with the desire to do that are people who are insecure with themselves.
AspergersGirl 3 years ago
brockie, temple has achieved more than you probably ever will. so shut the fuck up about being better. she's not a worse person for having autism. but seems you are. :G
also, you deleted my comment you pussy.

Apart from that I can't really tell the difference either.
jakerockznoodles 3 years ago
Yeah neither.. AS here.
It was suggested to my parents that I had autism at kindy when I had trouble interacting with other kids. They were devestated.
AspergersGirl 3 years ago
Females with aspergers are quite rare. Workplace politics are my struggle. I just cannot understand why neurotypicals do what they do. You seem genuine with your statements. Perhaps you can check out a group named GRASP which supports adults with aspergers.
Aspie12345 3 years ago
Hmmm, I just think a lot of females are undiagnosed or keep a low profile. Is that a youtube group? I would like to be able to help more people.
AspergersGirl 3 years ago
I actually think that aspergers may be a sex-linked condition.
robokill387 3 years ago
Current theory for that is that as females are naturally better at social / empathy, etc, they can adapt better at minimising signs. eg. what would be a extreme autistic boy, because of the natural differences of the female brain is diagnosed as higher functioning. So what would be higher functioning is not picked up at all because of the sex differences.
11krage 3 years ago 2
Isn't that a bit of a stereotype? Most girls I know are no more or less empathetic than most males. I've also known just as many antisocial females as antisocial males.
robokill387 3 years ago
Not a sterotype. The female brain differs from the male brain, its been proven, there are even tests to see how much of a percentage your brain has male / female traits. Have a look into the current research into gender brain physiology and behaviour differences, makes for some interesting reading, particually as to why there are some rare exceptions to the rule. Anyway, its not just the simple empathy difference, but a lot more that can't fit into the word count of a comment. Try google.

Yeah I know most people say assburgers, I say asperjers, I thought I'd better try saying it two different ways.
