Napyuu, people will always come up with their own interpretation of their favorite songs. It's never meant as disrespect to the artist but as a form of creative expression. In fact, many artists ENCOURAGE everyone to find their own interpretation. Yes, a song will have it's own specific message, and we all will see it, but that never means you can't find another meaning as well. And don't call people idiots if you want to get your message across, otherwise you just end up looking like one.

but what you're doing is looking at the song as a whole, and the story it tells. What everyone else is doing is looking at the lyrics. Not ALL of the lyrics, but some of them. Take the very first line "Shadows all around you as you surface from the dark" That could relate to a.Sora's being a heartless/coming back b.certain nobody's and c.Riku in general.

So it's not what the song is telling us, but what we decipher the lyrics as.

And if I wrote a song, and it was used for something like this, I'd be very honored and interested, because I'd wonder how people interpret the song! Have you heard Hospital Bed Crawl, also by The Hush Sound? It can relate almost directly to the Twilight saga, yet they never intended it.

This song was created for a specific metaphorical message to be given. And I hate self-made music videos like this that pair it up with something that has no relation to it's message at all. its not interpretation, no matter how you see the lyrics, it doesnt relate.

one of the scenes in kingdom hearts actuelly made me cry ;[ the part where kairi hugs sora .. at ast.. <3 and i hate roxas's tale of where he doesnt know who he is .. it all blends :P

that's like reading shakespeare and thinking he's talking about the literal sun. It's open to interpretation, the song probably has different meaning to ever single one of the band members, as it brings up different memories and feelings for everyone who hears it, a month ago that song would have made me happy, it would have reminded me of someone, since then, things have changed and it makes me rather sad. You can just look at the literal words... you have to find what they mean
