  • great motor sound !

  • youll look good in a toecutter shirt..blastin metal....haha

  • Sweet ride. I want one... to bad they aren't available over here.

  • No one on this earth could tell me anything if I was driving max's interceptor with Wez ride'n shotgum with me. It's the Duck's Guts!! I hope to begin to piece one together myself in the next few years. Debt'n on goin with an LS1 w/6-71 blower or try'n rebuild a 351c. Anyway, awesome car! Kick it in the guts one time for me!

  • i call shotgun

  • @WolfManJ343 - You're welcome to, sir, but for that particular ride, you'd have to fight Vernon Wells, who played "Wez" in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. But if you ever make it to Lewisville, Texas, let me know. I take it out for a drive most weekends and I'm always happy to have a passenger who would enjoy the experience. It's HOT, noisy, smelly, and LOTS of fun!

  • Thats gonne be me after the 2012 apocalypse, (if i survive ofcourse) :D:D

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    Nice!!!

  • damn i want this car ^^

  • Dude, That was "Wez" riding Shotgun???..........Cool

    What's Vernon Wells like???

  • Vernon is one of the coolest guys in the business that I know. He's a real person, tells great stories, has made some other great movies, too. And he occasionally phones me and calls me a bastard, which is how you know he likes you. :) He appreciates the people who think he's really cool, he doesn't take fans for granted. In a group, he's likely to become a member of the group, rather than the center of attention.

  • He sounds like he's quite a character

  • that it your set,, now you can make mad max 4, you get the car.

  • haha you even have the score from the road warrior. bad ass

  • Pure badassery

  • i bet its great being behind the wheel & seein that monster stickin out the hood,,best car i ever saw

  • ive seen the real macoy with the twin tanks not far from my home here in cumbria, it is in an auto museum specialising in movie cars. it is called 'the star's the car' museum and it is in Keswick in Cumbria England. I asked the owner if he would sell it he told me to f*ck off as it's not for sale. Nice

  • I thank you very much sir, that's high praise indeed!

  • The old XB ay? Always been a Ford bloke and this is and will remain one of the best mods ever done to a John Goss spesh.. Well done!! It's the duck's guts!!

  • Can I ask where you got the blower from?

  • Sure can! It came with the car from Australia.

  • Is the blower a Weiand, like on the original??

  • They sure dont make em like her anymore!

  • That's the truth! Who needs fuel economy! :D

  • Very nice!! does the super charger on her actualy work or is it just for show??

  • It's identical to the first two cars used for the movie.

  • dam that thing looks badass.

  • Thanks very much, sir! It's totally badass to drive.

  • Great Falcon got one just like it in my garage(Falcon XB GS)

  • bad ass car

  • Thank you, sir! And it gets great gas mileage. :)

  • my favourite car

  • doh sorry somebody alreaddy commented bout it!! that S/C sounds wicked

  • of course you need insurance in the uk!!, its a legal obligation! do you really think i would be paying direct line to insure my 24 year old ford capri if i didnt have to!!! i think you may be confusing it with not having to pay tax on cars registered on uk roads before jan 1972 or (71 not sure which)

  • Since the tanks are in the back, shouldn't the front clip be missing also? ;-)

  • No sir. At the beginning of Road Warrior, the top half of the nosecone is intact.

  • oh shes a beauty

  • If a car is over 20 years old you dont need to pay insurance in the UK.

    Thats it....lol!

    I NEED POWER!!!!

  • unfortunatly its car tax you dont have to pay, insurance is still mandatory =[

  • Lol....yeah, sorry!

    Was getting confused...

Still it STILL sucks here in the UK!

  • it sucks even more here in norway, theyre putting up higher taxes and other nonsense laws to make awesome cars even more costy for us. All thats left to buy soon is only shitty Daewoo`s with 15 hp or something i bet

  • I want

  • IF i win a triple roll-over lottery i'd get me one of these and pay to change the UK laws regarding blowers and such, screw the goverment i want an interceptor!!!!

  • Is the blower legal...

    Dumb question I know...

But over here in Scotland, you wouldnt be allowed to have operable blowers or exhausts like that?

  • Not a dumb question at all, laws vary from country to country. It's my understanding that in Australia, the blower, pipes, and the hole in the hood itself are illegal for the road. Fortunately, in Texas, they're all legal. There are safety requirements that must still be met - lights, horn, etc, but not many.

  • A few guys over here have replica blowers on their car that are just models. These crazy Politicians in Britain have serious crazy

laws against Co2. As such my 1.3 litre car is ranked in the top 20 worst offenders. Seriously!

Here we are allowed to have massive exhausts, but something like a operating blower and 8 operable exhausts on the side wouldnt be allowed!

Id love to live in Texas...get me a REAL American muscle car, kick it in the guts and burn fuel. Screw the enviroment!

  • Sound like your deprived of your power. Here in the US if you get something pre 72, it doesn't matter what you do with it, no laws at all. Except for the working horn, turn signals, and lights. It get expensive though.

  • Yup!! Damn straight!!

  • As far as I know, the blower & pipes are legal.

    Cheers from Australia!!

  • You do require an engineers report / certificate to state that the modifications have been done professionally and a roadworthy certificate. - i.e: The car has to be inspected by the DMV / DOT, etc.

  • your best bet is fit props and keep the real pipes under the car , the blower can be removed for mot and replaced after you get ta mot ive been working on yanks for the last 15 years we drag race old corvettes with superchargers out of the bonnet , not a dumb question mate keep the faith alive

  • if that squad car was behind me with siren on i would shit my pants what a beast.

  • I'll see you on the road, skag.

  • That's awesome, bet you got some looks during that ride!!

  • That car is a master of workmanship! Great job!

  • its no wonder xb coupes are getting hard to find' they are all overseas!

  • Heh heh heh....nah, there's only a handful over here, compared to the number of American musclecars and other classics shipped over there. Try to find a Mustang Mach I over here. They're as rare here as XBs are over there. But you can be sure they're very well taken care of over here!

  • the for-shock?

  • 650 hp is not that unbeliveable out of a supercharged 351 with practically no exhaust, and no chance of getting defected, remember this is a police car

  • I WISH I HAD THAT CAR!

  • is that the old gordon hayes car out of sydney? I heard it ended up in the states

  • They all end up in the states.

  • Nah, I know of two in England, at least one in Japan, a few in Australia...

  • I am replying to my own comment...I apologize. I was being nasty. I imported a Falcon and it is my pride and joy. Better than that, I have made life long Australian mates. Thanks Gordon and Grant.

  • Is your Falcon the beautiful yellow Gizzi Falcon?

  • Yes. And thank you. I did nothing on the car. Gordon and Grant did all the work. I am not skilled enough. They did a great job.

  • Nope. This is the Last V8 built by Scott Smith, used in 'Back 2 the Max'.

  • The only part of Road Warrior I HATE is the "Interceptor death." I honestly cannot watch it.

  • I hear you. I can't watch that part, and I absolutely cringe at the beginning chase when he smacks that irreplacable nosecone off bashing into the back of the Landau. That scene always makes me want to go check in the garage, make sure she's still ok...

  • If I had one in my garage, I would make the garage my bedroom, and would force my family to stand guard in 8-hour shifts, and that would include my 6-year-old...

  • Great video! What happens when you speed up behind bikers on the highway? Do they get nervous?

  • The wiser bikers get a little shaky and move over. :)

  • As they should...if they know what's good for them. When "Max" is out, everybody should be really nice.

  • Hey Manel - not an American car. It's an Australian Ford Falcon XB, they were never made in the USA. The car was originally specc'ed out at 650 horsepower, however it's now 28 years later so it might be a couple of horsies down from that. She's still a helluva strong runner!

  • wow, what sort of engine did that specific example have? obviously in the movie they make an outrageous horsepower claim, but 650hp out of an NA 351 isn't at all easy.

  • This one has the same engine the other two Interceptors used, a 351 Cleveland.

  • Conal - Yes, that's really Vernon! He was the special guest at Roadwar 151, sponsored by the Main Force Patrol (my organization). His autograph joined Emil Minty and Dennis William's signatures on the dash. Dennis was the stunt driver for the gas truck and drove the Interceptor whenever you didn't see Mel's face.

  • what is this car ,american, how mutch horse power this beast had?

  • Is that really the legendary Vernon up in front??! How did you manage to arrange a meeting???

  • what a fucking car ... I want one ... when I can bloody aford it ... oh and to run the fucker ... Oh shit! I'm still waiting to get my licence back ,Oh well back to my dreaming!

  • Thats fuckin cool dude ! the last of the v8 interceptors !!!! she sucks nitro !
