@Paulpunkrocks ... If it's a hybrid like that one, it's probably because it's a CVT Transmission, which would mean it only has one forward gear..... So, yeah. I would imagine that gear change would take FOREVER...
@tcbecht88 i bet even if that myth was true keeping the AC on the recycle mode will keep the air cool enough for the duration of the stop light. byw having lived in florida for 5yrs i know wat you mean by ac is required
I really like the escape hybrid, the 09 is even better I think ( minor hybrid drive tweaks), but I am waiting to see if Subaru creates a hybrid soon or not and if the Ford Kuga small suv comes here as the next Eacape or not.

In the UK, a vehicle of this size with a diesel engine can easily acheive 50mpg combined...

I heard that when some hybrids do the auto stop feature, the a/c tends to not cool very well. True? False? I live in Florida, so a/c is a necessity.
