  • @mitch9521 In this video? maybe 150hp, it was only 8 psi. Cars somewhere around 230-260hp right now. Just breaking the motor in still :/

  • @mitch9521 My motor stock had about 190hp ish, just tuned it down because the transmission was hurtting and I was DD'ing the car at the time

  • Is that the original 2.3L mustang engine? i hear the pistons can't handle the extra boost so people buy the engines from turbo mekur's or whatever... I'd like to turbo my 90 lx but not sure if i want to dual turbo the 4 cylinder or swap a 302CI and single turbo... [i'd end up dual turboing the 302 also]

  • did you have to change the computer and the wiring harness because i was told that i have to change all of that with the swap i did?

  • You don't have to remove the wiring harness, but you do have to add a few wires and re-pin it and get a computer + a VAM from the turbo car.

    I have an 89 2.3L hatchback. Probably almost like what your car was like before the swap.

    I am interested in doing this, because my transmission is still good but I need a new clutch.

    Are you using the stock tranny?

    Also, how hard was it to make the upgrade? I have a lot of junkyards near by, I am sure I can find a TC or something.

    What other extras did you have to put it in?

  • SVO mustangs and Thuderbird turbo coupes had a top speed of 145mph, most of the dash readings go to 80mph like mines, but there are some with a 140mph cluster, an i just read your name so i'm guessin you already know this an me writing this was a complete waste of both yours an my time lol, well if ya didn't know now ya do

  • my mostly stock 2.3 mustang got radard at 110mph on the free way. I got a break cause my speedo wasnt working properly

  • lol i'm pretty aware of that, growing up my father had a handful of turbo 2.3 car's. i just swapped in a 145 cluster in my turbo 2.3 vert, once the needle passes 85 it was a guessing game after that LOL

  • I have a rebuilt .60/.48 T3 running 8 psi, bobs log manifold, PK1 computer, small VAM, #35 injectors, 2.5" straight exhaust, turbo coupe FMIC, cone air filter, and a failing A4LD.

  • u should turn the boost up to stock wich i think was around 15 psi.

  • Depends what motor your talking about, some had 12, others had 14.5
