The annual Coonawarra road tasting wineshow is a great way to taste through over 100 different aged and new release cabernets (this year in 2012 to include Hong Kong apparently).
I tell people at work that I'm on a quest to find a $9-$14 bottle of wine that tastes like it cost $300. They laugh at me, yet I still haven't given up.
I honestly don't get why all these wines I've been buying taste like piss. I mean like what's the big deal about taking a quality grape seed and nurturing it ... and selling it at a sensible price?
this is the lightest Cabernet Sauvignon i've seen, Cabernet Sauvignon has high tannins its suppose to be a lot more darker. Probably a wine kit - 60% wine 40% water
i love this fat hoe! She is so informative and keeps it simple but very detalied! I have been reading books and never learned as much as i did from the fat hoe!
@AshLuvsJonnyStew it is the king isn't it ?? I recently tried some pinot for the first time: "Sideways" got me interested-- I wasn't that impressed -of course there are so many to try ---A good cab is like a prime porterhouse --bold, flavorful ,satisfying - Incomparable you might say!
In philosophy the truth is only an agreement between 2 or more people, and it has nothing to do with reality itself, but with the subjective human understanding :)
@adroj182 which is why the entire world of philosophy is garbage with the exception of the raw pursuit of the truth. Any endorsement of the myth that truth is relative/dependent on a consensus is just plain wrong.
@objectivethirdparty wow you really sound like you know what you're talking about. Tell us more about the raw pursuit of the truth. Can you also recommend some good red wines?
Its true that American and Australian wines are very good... but its not true that European wines lack in complexity, in fact, they are just a little more subtle and need a higher knowledge of wine to be fully appreciate... But, i'm with you, nothing compare to a good bold cab from the "New World"
I just started working in a wine store and hooo my god am I happy I found you
