  • @iluvjustinb2 oh my god youre my new best friend! :D

  • I have seen this movie 100 times and I cry every single time.

  • @MrLadyRaRa

    Ciao Bello!

That very sweet "Amico Mio" ,but instead let Bobby Griffiths' old lover/boyfriend here offer his hand in friendship, and perhaps we can work together to stop this horrific, as well as "Profane" phenomenon from continuing to happen?

  • does anyone know the name of a movie kinda like this one; it's about a latin american boy who is gay, and starts to dress like a woman, but starts getting harassed for it, and in the end he is killed. im pretty sure it was a true story. i think the kids name was possibly daniel/danny. there's a 99% chance i'm wrong though. i would seriously appreciate it if someone could tell what movie this was.

  • when i was little i knew wat being gay was but i figured it was something someone made up and tht it didnt actually happen in real life. when i got older i realized it really happened when my cousin came to one of our chirstmas parties three years ago and brought her girlfriend. im really REALLY srry to say tht i thought being gay was a little weird at first. i DIDNT have anything against it though! now im 14 im straight i dnt think its weird anymore and im writing a gay novel to show my support

  • They used avatar's trailer music

  • My Mom told me about this film. I can't believe that I'm a 30 year old gay man and never seen this!!! My Mom said it was incredible how hateful Bobby's mom was before he died. MUST SEE.

  • @Lifetime

A fellow YT'er PM'd me, asking me to do everyone a favor and stop posting on

the "Prayers for Bobby" videos stating that my posts were all about myself! I've

been too subtle in the past, thinking it somehow was distrete! The time for discretion is past!

  • @Lifetime

Let me say now that I was in fact Bobby Griffiths lover or boyfriend, if you prefer!

I feel that I have as much right as anyone to comment here! My main concern however, is that what became of Bobby is still happening to many young people

    and it must stop!

  • I love this movie.

My grandma was disgusted about how Im gay.

I could give a rats ass what she thinks, but I made her watch this Movie and think about what she says =)

  • Ya know... if only we didn't have religion.

  • @dragonofthedarknight Religion has us go to heave. I don't want to be an Atheist, live a good life, then burn forever when I die.

Btw, did you know Bobby is in heaven right now? :)

He worshiped God. So take your smartass remarks somewhere else.

  • @seetheboyonthestreet Don't worry sweetie, that heaven and hell thing is all probably a lie. You won't burn anywhere. You don't have to be scared, and you don't have to make goat offerings just to make sure you won't be tortured later on. You're perfectly safe :)

  • This is great. Please search Bob and Rob wedding Amsterdam. Our real video is now on You Tube. We just recently got married and are the happiest two people on earth. Negativity need not apply here as we will live our lives happy and content while a faction of bigots can waste their days consumed with hatred. I think our path will yield a happier/healthier life. ENJOY

  • It's about time this story was made into a film. There are thousands of gay teenagers in America that are living Bobbys experience. As long as people choose to accept the bronze age bararic myths of Christianity as anything other than the nonsence that it is, this and other related problems will persist worldwide. There is presently a bill before the Ugandan legislature with the help of US Evangelicals that would enact the death penalty for gays. After all, it says they should in Leviticus.

  • I just got goosebumps probably about sixteen times.

  • This Really Made Me Cry

  • @Lifetime Jerry Falwell and his"moral majority" were dominating the discourse!

The culture of the time was decidedly against us. All Bobby and I could do was

go clubbing to be amongst our own kind, allowing us to briefly escape. He loved to dance!

    Blaine

  • I'm surfing these vids in amazement at the warm and heartfelt response of

people to Bobbys and Marys' story. I , after all these years, can't get over how

brave and bold kids like Bobby and I were. This was 1980-82, Reagan was

President! Jerry Falwell and his"moral majority" were dominating the discourse!

The culture of the time was decidedly against us. All Bobby and I could do was

go clubbing to be amongst our own kind, allowing us to briefly escape. He loved to dance!

  • I absolutely love this movie.... and I don't cry in movies, but this put me through it, multiple times!!!

  • Amazing movie. Incredibly touching and emotional. I recommend it, especially to Christians.

  • i really want to see this movie. a lot of guys that go through the "ex-gay ministries" end up usually being very depressed and suicidal. it's really sad that it takes the death of your own child to change your view on things. i really really want to get this.

  • "Prayers for Bobby" will make you weep for humanity. How humans with all their reasoning use imaginary beliefs to bring so much hate and pain to gain control of their society and condemn each other. And maybe, just maybe there are some Bobbies out there who will be able to live a full and happy life and bring joy to others, if only the veil of hatred stoked by ignorance can be lifted just ever so little.

  • @816cameron: Right on. Although to be honest, I hope that there aren't other Bobbies out there-young, beautiful men who take their lives because they'd rather die than struggle with the hardships, hatred, and prejudices that ensue simply because they are gay. I just want to give them all a hug and say that they don't have to be straight for it to all be okay...

  • screw people who hate gays!!! there is nothing wrong with it. i am straight but mostly all of my friends are bisexual and one of my other friends is lesbian. i hate how people hate gays and lesbians just for whio they are

  • homosexual behavior dosent lead to being gay, but being gay is not a choice either. being gay is about embracing what you feel and being proud of who you love and who you are and 'f' all of you that think otherwise. im a straight man and still understand this.... dont hate cuz someone is different befriend them for the good person that they are

  • Is this movie available on dvd? I'd really love to check it out.

  • @Seattlecarnut Its not on DVD, but it is on iTunes, you can buy it for only 3.99

  • this movie made me realize its ok to accept myself for who i really am. this movie has helped me soooo much

  • accept yourself for who you are - but also know the hope that there IS healing from

    unnatural sexual addiction.

She is right about "ignorance." Not only from the family, but also from society as a whole. Homosexuality is not a learned behavior. It is an entrapping behavior...and you have to want to change in order to have victory out of same sex attraction.

    It may take years

  • you are just as ignorant....

  • and what would you know about Homosexuality? What would you know what is shame and what is unnatural? What victory are you talking about? People who are homosexual cannot have a victory over homosexuality, because that would mean that they would have to deny themselves and pretend to be someone they are not! You can't understand that because otherwise, you wouldn't be posting things like this!

  • What victory are you talking about?

Changing back. It happens. It is reality.

The way it happens is by going "a-sexual" and beseeching the Lord in prayer to heal

you of the consequences of participating in such unnatural sexual activity. You need

God's help to have victory over homosexual

desire. You need Jesus Christ in your life

    as Lord, Savior and God.

The VICTORY comes when God delivers you

back to heterosexual attraction which was

completely missing when you are "gay."

  • You are telling me that I need Jesus Christ in my life? What makes you think that just because I am gay I do not have Jesus in my life? That's the most common and the most ignorant misconception that most straight people have about gays. For your information, I grew up with a tremendous love towards Jesus. Since I was a child, there have not been a day without me praying or just smiling at my Lord. But I also liked dolls, and pink clothes, and boys since I was a child.

  • The Power of the Spirit of God in your life will convict you of ALL sin...as it did for me and many others who have been delivered from homosexual deviation. You can look back at my life of earings and make up and dressing up in high heels and all the rest...it doesn't mean

that my potential for a particular sin makes it any less of a sin. There IS

    healing from these unnatural sexual

desires....but it DOES take a lot to "get back" to heterosexual attraction.

  • When Jesus Christ is manifested in your life...your brothers and sisters who are born-again Christians see the power of God clearly in your life and lifestyle. A smiling Jesus is seen by the smiles of your brothers and sisters who hold you accountable to live a godly lifestyle free from all fornication BOTH heterosexual and homosexual.

  • well that is true, and I'm glad you said "both heterosexual and homosexual" because I've seen many heterosexuals assuming that homosexuals somehow do not have Jesus in their lives. I can understand where that assumption might be coming from, as there are many homosexuals who live prostitute-like life style. However, not all homosexuals are like that. Some do not even have sex with their partners, all they want is to love. You can't understand that, because you're not gay. Only Jesus understands

  • It is very difficult to get back to heterosexual desire once you have facilitated homosexual desires and fantasy. It is VERY difficult...and I don't think certain people can even do with without prayer. But it DOES happen. People are delivered from homosexual

lifestyles all the time through groups like

NARTH and Exodus and other Christian

ministries. There is a method that works and then there are methods which are foolish like "shock treatment" which should NEVER be used.

    Prayer is the

  • Exodus does not help. I spent thousands of dollars on it. I also know many people who suffer all their life trying to suppress their homosexual feelings through PRAYERS, like you said. Look, I am a Christian, and love God with all my heart. however, your statement that "once you are exposed to homosexuality it is hard to go back" is WRONG! I was attracted to men since I can remember myself, may be around the age of 4. Never wanted to play with brothers, just sisters, and only with dolls.

  • "once you are exposed to homosexuality it is hard to go back" is WRONG!"

I thought I said "once you have facilitated

    homosexual desires and fantasy."

There is a difference between exposure and following desires. Either way, RESULTS trump false beliefs. The results of those like myself who HAVE been able to go back to heterosexual desire only trumps the false beliefs that people are somehow "born" gay.

There are too many people who have

been healed from these desires. Just like their hav

  • 98% of ex-gay type services fail. Sorry but, you do not understand science. You refuse to take the word of gay people describing how they always knew. You were never gay. One of ex-gay type ministries nearby has the leader coming to my store and flirting with me. Just ridiculous. Honey I have been with my partner for 5 years. Sexual desire does not increase with time as in heterosexual relationships. If it were only for sex it wouldn't have lasted.

  • have been people who have RESTRAINED their desires for beastiality and necrophilia. You CAN change these desires..but it is very difficult.

Results trump the lies that you can't.

  • Also, I wanted to add that I did not have any sexual contact with men until I grew up. Yet the entire childhood I thought and acted like a girl, even though I had the same share of love from my father as my other brothers did. I really don't think that it was dad's fault that I CHOICE to spend less time with him myself. I was more interested in spending time with my older sisters, watch them do their hair and make up. People made fun of me, and I wished I could stop that behavior, but coudln't

  • We can all inductively list things from our past that are feminine. This means we have a greater potential for homosexuality...but it doesn't mean that we HAVE TO be engaging in behavior that is clearly displeasing to the Creator. You can look at a man and a woman's body and tell "who is supposed to be with who."

You don't have to be a rocket scientist...this is basic common sense (that we have lost to political correctness)

  • You're right, you don't have to be a rocket scientist, but if you were, you would have known a little more about HOMOSEXUAL sex and what it serves in nature and why some people are experiencing it since they are born. SCIENTISTS can tell you if your baby will be gay when its still inside the mother's womb! One thing that is clear to me is that arguing with "boxed" people like you is completely pointless. You will persecute gays just like you have blacks in the past, all based on the scripture

  • If this is how the "Creator" wanted it.... why does homosexual behaviors occur in many other animals naturally....

  • I am married by my religion's doctrine. Doesn't matter what the state says. I've been through a hearty religious upbringing. You know where all those guys are now that went to your ex-gay type ministries ? They are all dead like this boy's story. Sorry but, you cannot cure science.

  • @Breckmin I have never met anyone who has been "healed" of being gay. They marry a woman. They go through prayer lines and therapy and say they are happy............and then you find them in a gay bar six months later. It is kicking against the pricks and trying to conform to please others.

Why don't you change from being straight to being gay? Try it. See how far you get in being freed of your heterosexual "addiction" ;)

  • @JayTay1992 Agreed. It helped me better understand.

  • such an amazing and sad movie.

  • Amen! I hope you rest in piece bobby!

  • Peace*

  • ROTFLMAO!!!!! :D

  • thinking about this makes me sad :(

  • part of this was filmed at my church

  • amazing film...i HIGHLY recommend the book...i read the book like 6 or more months ago and it is my favorite book of all time...i think everyone can relate to his story...luckily my family is loving and pretty supportive...life is still difficult dealing with homosexuality and all the negative connotations that come along with it...

  • Such a great movie. I'm glad that Lifetime did this. I was so frustrated during the CA elections at all the negative campaigning. It's refreshing to see the equality fight represented in a positive manner.

For those that are looking to get involved in the cause for equality, the Empowering Spirits Foundation is a great organization that focuses on a positive message through services activities.

  • This is such an amazing movie. Its extremely emotional and it hits home a little closer then id like to admit. Though i never have and never will consider suicide an option.

My Mom kicked me out of the house when i came out to her but luckly i had the love and support of my grandparents to help. My relationship with her hasnt been the same since and i miss it.

But to all those who feel like giving into it all dont, you are not alone no matter how much u feel it.

  • how did you come out to your mom. i know for a fact that my mom will act this way if i tell her. i cry all the time. help me.

  • God loves everyone. Don't sweat the homophobes.

  • everyone? even the ones he killed in the flood? even the ones he had moses kill? even the first borns he killed in egypt?

  • god forgives.

even though u do all these things there's always a reason. people believe they are doing the right thing but sometimes they are not or they just need help

  • that reason is one of two things. there is no god, or there is one and he's a heartless bastard. humans do sadistic things but a god greater than us should hold himself to higher standards. and toying with us while at the same time demanding praise is not high standards

  • I can already tell that when I see it I'm gonna cry.

  • Looks like a charming, feel-good movie!

Seriously, all those homophobic people need to just get the fuck over it.

  • I cried too.

I am a gay male and couldnt picture my mother disrespecting me like that just because im gay. So sad.

  • Thank you!

  • This was such a great and incredible movie, I cried throughout the whole thing. I wish my own mom could come as far as Bobby's mom did, she says she still "loves" me but doesn't like my "choice of lifestyle".

  • You didnt choose it 238wanderer, sorry your mom doesn't realize that yet

  • i cried through the whole thing too! D: every part that they started crying i cried too

if my son or daughter was gay, i'd support them no matter what! even if i'm catholic

  • ohhh i cryed in this too my friend was in it cool

  • I cried so hard in this movie....

  • OMG!!! i freaken cried throughout this whole movie..being a gay boy...i understand but i know that i would never feel the way he did...this movie was really the most beautiful movie I've ever seen..praise for "Prayers for Bobby"

  • I cried and cried watching this movie. I feel sorry for both sides.

  • this was a really great movie..truly sad too...:'[ ryan kelley is super cute&&a wonderful actor^_^ ii love him!! ahhaha<3

boys like bobby shouldn't give up his life like that. there's so much more to life...and i wish his mom wasnt so unacceptable. but it is understandable. i am glad he lived his life the way he wanted....

  • Loving relationships between consenting adults, whether hetero- or homosexual, are neither dangerous nor injurious to society or children. Also, mouths and hands weren't "intended" for genital stimulation either, but you seem to be fixated on the anus, even though the vast majority of people engaging in anal sex are heterosexual couples. Many gays and most lesbians don't even have anal sex. And the twin studies ACTUALLY show that there IS an inborn component to homosexuality.

  • "I wont have a gay son"...Woah,that must've hurt...So what If your gay,It doesnt matter!

  • I can't blame someone for being against Christians because of all the obnoxious hatred that is spewed in the name of "christianity". It does bring a bad name to all Christians. But I worry that when we become a "we vs, them" mentality, then we alienate even the loving Christians (Mormons, etc). We create a greater divide. We need to come from a space of love to break down all the hate-built walls. So here I am to remind people, many Christians love gays & so does God, no change required.

  • Christianity isn't wrong. "reparative therapy" and "ex-gay programs" are wrong. Extremist and fundamentalists are wrong. But there are many Christian organizations who love gays just as they are, no change required. These same Christian organizations love and respect other religions as well. fundamentalist groups such as what you've experienced give Christianity a bad name. I'm sorry for what you went through.

  • okay..they havnt been "made up" but they have been changed becauae as the years go on they change it to make it easier for common people to understand.

  • does anyone know what the opening song is? i've been trying to find it, and i'm getting NOTHING. It's the one that starts off, "I need you to listen" please help me!!

  • I don't see how I cannot. It's that or teh street. u.u

  • Sending you there is a form of abuse. Call Social Services/Child Protective Services and see if they have any mandates in your state to protect you from such abuse. If you are old enough to be on youtube, you are old enough to search the internet, find some phone numbers and find some help. I'll get you started...

GLBT National Help Center, 1-888-843-4564 they specialize in youth issues.

there is also a glbtnearme(DOT)org site that helps you find local resources.

  • Yes I'm serious.

  • also...

    3 x w (DOT) bonusround(DOT)com(SLASH)gayyouth

I hope you can figure out my URL code!

  • My family is sending me to a Christian facility for a year so I can be "un-gayed." If only I had a place to go. So much for standing up to myself.

  • Are you serious?

  • I hope you find a way out of going. Maybe go to another family member? If you are under 18, call social services? It's not a "Christian" facility if they do not recognize that you are God's perfect child just the way you are. No change required. God made you and God loves you. What they will point to in the Bible are false translations. In the original languages, the Bible does not condemn gays. 10 years from now. life will be different. Stay strong.

  • are you still going? what could someone do to help?

  • All my friends live in other states and most of them aren't even set up in their own places themselves. My best friend is a student who lives with his mom and my other one lives in a hospital. Another friend is being deployed to Iraq so I have no idea.

  • .....I watched this lat night and was in tear the entire time.......it was beautiful........there is something ineffable to the experience of crying alone at 2 in the morning; the glow of your computer lighting your face.......but that sounds so depressing - anyway a worthy film.....and Weaver was excellent.

  • "without you there would be no reason for the Bible to state that men should not be homosexuals.

See Bible for details." WTF are you talking about?

  • i agree! the guys who played bobby and david (his boyfriend) are FUCKING hot!! and this story is so sad :( i've watched the movie like 3 times now and it gets move meaningful and touching every time i watch it. its so unfortunate about what happened to bobby.. if only society wasn't so retarded...

  • This film may talk about religion..

But thats not what this film was about at all.

    Its about discriminating and realization.

It was a very heart-felt and lovely film.

Not a film meant for religious debates.

This film is supposed to bring people together.

And I don't know about the rest of you..

But the God I pray to..

    Loves everyone..

    For them.

  • I think we should all stop using the bible in order to justify prejudice.

  • Absolutely amazing. I felt almost every moment. :)

  • Wow, this was an A-MAZING movie. I watched it the first night it was on. Now, this movie is soooo true. For a second, stop all your prejudice thoughts and crap and put yourself in Bobby's(or any other gay) shoes. We don't chose to be gay. We just are. I am religious and I am gay. Now this is exactly why you don't be mad or unfair towards gays, because it puts lots of pressure on them, and then they comitte sucide from being depressed. Please think twice again before you make fun of gays.

  • PianoMann18.... I agree totally. I thought the movie was A-MAZING as well.

  • as for quality of the movie, some of the scenes didn't work for me. when he went to the gay club, all I saw was a bunch of extras in a very staged looking scene.

  • i was crying through the wholeee movie and then watched it a 2nd time and cried again.

  • I could not stop crying at the end when bobby's mom walk up to that boy and hug him he looked just like bobby

  • Thank you so much for sharing Bobby's story with us. Hopefully all of the world will see your story and see that we were conceived in God's eye's and heart just the way he intended. God does not make mistakes, and the only real sin, is in those that use the Bible to right a wrong. God should be the only person to judge our sins, anyone that uses the Church or the Bible to judge one another shall be judged with the same contempt that they have in their hearts. RIP in the arms of God, Bobby...

  • wow great comment. thank you for sharing your words of wisdom with everyone.

  • this movie brought so many emotions and it doesnt matter if u r straight or gay. it really makes u think about everything and even though it is a movie that made me cry many times it is also now one of my favorite movies.

his mother is very strong and a good role model fo anyone. RIP bobby.

  • is Ryan Kelley gay in real life?

  • "is Ryan Kelley gay in real life?"

Don't know. Don't care. I still have a crush on him though. I've never heard of him before. I'm going to have to rent Mean Creek.

  • No he is bisexual

  • I sat and Watched it with my mommy. I normally do not cry over movies, but its definitely a movie that all can relate to.. i cried a couple times... Definitely worth the wait.. =0)

  • i saw this movie...i cried so many times my eyes turned pink, but the fact that it was true...it just makes me sad that ppl really think this way about gay, theyre ppl just like u and i

    RIP

    bobby

  • that movie was so good!

i seen it 3 times already

and i still can't wait till the 28th when it comes on again

  • beautiful movie

    Go pride!

  • that guy who plays the bobby is so sexi... i love this movie ... its so good... i can watch this over and over again

  • This was one of the best lifetime movies I have ever watched. I was so touched by it. I was just to happy to know my mother and father did accept me for who I am and not what is in the bible or anything else for that matter. There are a lot of young people out there in the same situation as Bobby. A friend of mine took his own life also. If the world wasn't so degrading and disrespectful and just accepted people for who they are, things like this wouldn't happed. I give this movie two Thumbs up!

  • This is an awesome movie! Way to go lifetime!

  • i feel the same way as bobby felt. Alone, as if all the weight is on my shoulder. No one to talk too. i feel like i'am sinking in to the abyss. Waiting for someone to stop and catch me from falling. But there's no one. Who will stop me and get me from this cold abyss? WHO?

  • You are not alone. Either time or finding someone to speak with will help you much more. A therapist can help you much with overcoming religious abuse. You have friends that you don't even know yet. Seek help.

  • I really don't feel like listening to a book that states if a woman being raped in a city doesn't scream loud enough she will be stoned. Not really my thing. Or a man could claim his wife is not a virgin and she gets stoned to death. Or if a man rapes a virgin he must marry the poor woman he raped. All of this is in the precious bible.

  • i cried and cried over this movie

  • I know! So sad!

  • Beautiful movie! I applaud Lifetime for having the guts to put out such a story. I wish it would have been done years ago.

  • i saw this movie last night. it wasnt bad but it wasnt exactly good either...

  • Well the story is there. It is difficult to to condense a story for a lifetime into two hours. I'm also aware of the budgetary constraints of the movie.

  • When reading the Bible (and I LOVE the Bible) we need to keep in mind the time it was written. Levitical law did not imply gay as innately immoral, just not productive (as far as creation) and back then, you were to "be fruitful and multiply." Levitical law demands no

    eating of pork, lobster, shrimp,

oysters, or rare meat; no intercourse

    during the menstrual period; no

interbreeding of cattle; and a whole

host of others laws, including the law

to kill all people who commit adultery. God Bless

  • NOTHGIF,

    If you go to:

    _ht __ tp:// w w __w. soulforce ._ org/article/homosexuality-bibl e-gay-christian

    (Remove spaces and underscores)

youll notice that the verse in Leviticus does not apply today!

YEAH! RESEARCH man, RESEARCH!!!! Back then tatoos, jewelry, eating pork, round haircuts, were considered abominations! So if those sins dont apply today, neither does homosexual activity. PLUS God loves us all ;D!!!!!!

  • Look I don't want to say anything mean to you NOTHGIF because I don't do that, but you need to really mind your own business, and that dog thing was uncalled for, okay. I've also looked at your channel, and you don't have any friends. I wonder why that is.

  • Baby rapist, are you still trolling this video? Since you haven't figured it out, let me spell it out for you: Most of us would prefer hell to your pedophilia loving god.

  • Again, prove GOD said that, not homophobic men.

  • I told you this already Nothgif. These are Levitical laws dealing only with the children of Israel in the wilderness. What exactly does a nomadic tribe need to keep a stable population? Procreation. This is also why it was horrible to "spill seed" on the ground. Also why if you brother's wife died before she had children you were required to have children for him in his name.

  • lol you need to proof read your stuff dude. Makes about as much sense as being sexually attracted to the same sex.

  • I got this from the original Hebrew version! You know absolutely nothing about the bible.

    yeah yeah Shirley.

  • Where does it say that in the Bible?

  • Asshole the fucking bible was written by man. What part of that don't you understand? No one has proof that God or Jesus said any of these things. Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a ENCORE is TONIGHT at 8:00 PM. WATCH IT, PEOPLE! It's AWESOME

  • does anyone know the name of the song in the beginning of this movie?

  • um... porghog.. do you know the name of the song in the begginning? it went like "i need you to listen , i need you to answer." yea. do u know the name of that song?

  • Go watch "The Best Apples in the World" and call NOTHGIF a "baby torturer" until he can prove aborted babies aren't going to hell.

  • Go watch "Skeptic Bible Study: Pedophilia in the Bible". Then come and call NOTHGIF a "child rapist" until he can prove the Bible is anti-pedophilia.

  • Tsk, tsk, tsk... You guys who keep quibbling with NOTHGIF over the homosexuality verses are making a big mistake. When fighting people like this, you have to go on the offensive and attack them on THEIR territory.

  • what i like about this movie is that it opens people's eyes to see that you cant help who you are or who you love.you just need to accept it and live life the best you can.like myself.

  • Thank you dthcountrygirl ^___^

    Live and let live.

  • i like how people sstay quiet when people attack christians. but when people attack gay people...its the end of the world.

  • I'm sorry but if I can recall most christians start alot of crap and that's why people attack. Gay people haven't done anything or started with anyone so that's why people defend them.

  • Thiskid09~~NO WONDER PEOPLE DEFEND GAY PEOPLE ... Especially when you have some Nutcase, Fanatical "holier than thou" Religious Preachers who claim on National TV ... that GAYS invited the wrath & punishment from God & are therefore responsible for AIDS, Hurricanes, Tornados, Floods & Forest Fires.

Than YES we say this bigotry & hatred are going too far, so let's put a stop to this utter nonsense & let's elect a smart President that believes in Science & Human Rights.

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

  • I grew up in a Christian family and I do believe every word of the bible. I do believe that being gay is a sin and can lead you down a bad road, but I think what this movie touches on is that parents need to love their kids no matter what lifestyle they want to live or who they want to be. Parents can disagree with their kids but still need to love them, thats what this movie to me touches on.

  • What this movie also touches on is to not condemn a person on literal translations of the Bible. A lot is cultural, a lot of the translations are misinterpreted. If you noticed, in the end the mom didn't disagree with her son. She regretted being so closed minded. It took courage to look outside of her church and discover the truths the Bible holds, that she could love AND accept her son and be at peace that her son did not go to hell. She's a couragous woman.

  • NOTHGIF take your bigotry elsewhere.
