Although there is certainly profit to gain from it as much as anything, whether man-made global (as opposed to local) warming is a reality or not, most people supporting the concept clearly believe what they say and fight for it passionately. Ergo, although it may well turn out to be false (and I highly suspect so, much as with eugenics a few decades back), it is not a hoax, no.

It is true that we cannot "save the climate", but we can and must reduce the negative impacts of anthropocentric climate change. Not to do so is a huge act of risk.

"Save the climate"? The climate can't be "saved." It changes daily, weekly and annually. It changes over the centuries, and we have little impact over the long term. McCain has drunk the liberal Kool-Aid, and we're not destroying the economy on a whim.

Canada is the most stable trading pattern the US has.
In fact, McCain said he would increase oil imports from Canada to 3.5 million barrels a year.
