I am considering buying one of those Markbass F1 amps, they sound really good. But I read some issues about going into thermal protection mode a bit too easily when playing live. Do you have such experiences ?

thx man, well, i never had any problems with the F1. it works absolutely fantastic. it is reliable. i know guys, who gig with the F1 way even more than i do. they´re really happy.

OK, that's what I thought. I am wondering whether sometimes the user's reviews are really that honest, know what I mean. About cabinets, what are u using ? I was thinking of getting the 2 traveler cabs 102P and 151P... what would u recommend ?

i have a german made FMC cab. its a 2x12 + 8 + horn cab. on this clips, i use a tecamp 2x12 cab. it´s hard to recommend something, taste can be sooo different.

just try as much as you can.

I just picked up a C102P (the 2x10 combo), and while I can't play worth a damn yet, I love the tone you get out of this thing. I play a pair of jazz basses through it, a Geddy and a Am Deluxe. Doesn't matter if you are playing soft enough to keep from waking the neighbors, or loud enough to rattle the crappy concrete slab, the story is if you have all the knobs at 12 o'clock, you're getting the original sound of your bass. Outfreakinstanding.

Ifind the 115 + Markbass amp the best combination for jazzbass.

thanks, man...yeah...i dig the P a lot. for the stuff i do this is my favorite type bass by far.

well, i think the F1 from markbass gives me more character than all the other amps, i used, including ashdown, glockenklang, craaft to name a few.

i´m still very, very content with this little monster-amp. i highly recommend it. BTW, i´m just a happy user, not a markbass employee.

I totally understand. I've seen a lot of happy markbass users, and I tried a large cabinet in London and some small combos here in California (where I live) It sounds so great on a P or Jazz bass, I love the sound!

Do you ever change pickups or bridge (badass) on P-bass? or are all your p-basses all the original material?

Yep, you can see the SABDDI. On this video it is not in use. It´s just the pure flat tone you can hear.

But the SABDDI is really a very useful tool. I love it.
