Does the sidestage clip to a laptop screen or is there a small portable stand? Which is better, this one or the one that you posted later?

If the sidestage is under $100 I'd get it.

The only way the "Sidestage" monitor seems reasonable is if you are limited to only connecting another monitor via USB. A VGA switch and a 17" monitor would probably be cheaper. The new router is awesome...but still a little pricey at $299 considering it doesn't come with a hard drive installed. (seems as though a hard drive is optional, and up to the consumer to install)

The Sidestage is a displaylink driven display... that means that a 17" monitor and switch wouldn't do the same thing. It is designed to run IN ADDITION to the current monitor(s) you're using... and it does it all without needing anything BUT the USB connection. (The display gets its power from the USB bus.)
