@TheROBCIOZOL got nothing to do with obituary man.....so wrong!!!! and definetelly not as araya's vocals. These guys have a unique style if you go and listen to all the tracks
sounds like DREAM DEATH. sounds like sounds like sounds like sounds like you all need to listen to more DREAM DEATH because the only reason to listen to DREAM DEATH is because they're the only ones who sound like DREAM DEATH!
great song, but I don't get how anyone can get death metal from this. This sounds like Slayer, Annihilators first album or Ride The Lightning era Hetfield on vocals.
and before anyone jumps on me, I'm almost 37 so I was around back then
My uncle is the drummer. They got fucked over by new renissance. They had them sign a contart and my uncle and brain were roughly 17 and the were just rednecks from pensyltucky and didnt read it, then later after they got some cash the contract said that they dont get jack shit. It fucking sucks how greedy and whory our society is.
Man, this band was frikkin' incredible! I WISH they'd come back! Supossedly they were( mentioned in the liner notes of their demo/reh. cd that came out awhile back ) . I HOPE so! DREAM DEATH RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From West Virginia, saw these guys in Pitts. at the Electric Banana and in Morgantown WV at The Stadium Inn. These guys were ahead of their time, they don't sound like other bands, other bands sound like them.
@ walleyekiller71 - Hear My Screams IS Method to Madness, just the name and arrangement on the demo is different from the studio album - myself, i prefer the demo :)
These guys played the Electric Banana in Pittsburgh back in the day quite a bit. They had another cool tune called Method to Madness. Maybe someone can post it.
@dochdochdoch Sounds like Celtic Frost with Tom Araya on vox. If that wasn't the exact first thing that came into your mind when you heard this, I don't know what to tell you!
There isn't anything wrong with being well noticed for your music. These guys should have not been so underground because they have the makings of a classic band. I'm not saying that they should turn all mainstream and shit..
these guys were part of a very kicked back pittsburgh metal scene..very kickback..not even the hardcore/punk kids had attitudes. mainstrem this or that was not the objective. playing heavy music was the objective.
after breaking up the reformed under the name PENANCE. some stuff on youtube. i don't think they ever surpassed this record though.....most disagree.
there's just a raw intangible angst and energy this record puts out. i know they considered themselves doom metal and the penance records fill that mold, but this record is special and has felt that way to may since it was released.
anyone of you know a danish band who released a demo in the 80s named " the courier " ? i tell you, they were the most incredible thrash band you can imagine. Search please
Guys- check out the earlier version of this song when it was called "Method to Madness"... they first recorded it as a 3 piece in 1986. You can hear it on one of their Myspace pages.
DREAM DEATH (back from the dead - demos) and PENANCE (the road revisited) are available by pycheDOOMelic --- Everyone most purchase these before the go out of print!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@eyegore666 Dude a guy who grew up in the 80s thrash metal scene told me abt these guys and they use to live in Pittsburg. All i have to say is i wish i was alive to have seen them, and i need to know where the hell i can get their cd!
Fuck yeaaaaaah! best doom metal ever. Pure 80s vibrations. Finally someone who likes Dream Death. By the way their first demo is the best stuff they have ever recorded in my opinion. Long live Dream Death. 666
