Try this:. Put hands on cement blocks. The hands should be placed palms down near the edge of the blocks so that the palms are on the blocks' top surfaces, with the knuckles at the edge. The fingers should hang over the edge and point straight downward to the floor. Avoid the tendency to grip the block and keep your fingers straight and pointed to floor throughout the exercise. Push with pressure mostly on palms. Otherwise, do pushups regular way. Do 5-8 sets of the most reps that you can.

These pushups are excellent....but here's a little monkey wrench you can throw in them to make it harder! Buy the "Perfect Pushup." They are rotating handles you do pushups on, making your chest lower even more, forcing you to work your outer chest, deltoids and lats more.
Use these technique in the video with the PPU and you will feel a MAJOR difference!
Irrespective of positioning, push-ups remain rather tricep-oriented. It's difficult to work the biceps without equipment, unless you've got a natural bar of some kind. Shopping bags work okay!

Yeah me too, it's because close grip is more middle of your chest + triceps. So if you never use wide grip (the outside of your chest) obviously it'll be weaker, but naturally if you have no training its stronger =).

Yeah me too, it's because close grip is more middle of your chest + triceps. So if you never use wide grip (the outside of your chest) obviously it'll be weaker, but naturally if you have no training its stronger =).

Win? To build muscle on your chest, I'd go with the elevated press up, but make it wide grip, but for triceps definately the clos(er) grip press up.
