  • Bonjour Madame.Salut Paris.Vive Balet.Bravo

  • Give me the reraL THING: Royal Danish Ballet

  • @MsJobsen

Why ? Bournonville made his Sylphide in 1836 after Taglioni (1832)

  • Ballet is the most beautiful form of art out there! I love watching it more than anything else on T.V.! :D

  • I needed this thank you!!

  • two people didn't like this?! are they high?!?!?

  • Seems like there floating! :D

  • Elegant!!

  • Excellente danseuse la Dupont mais pas du tout Sylphide.

  • Wonderful and smooth dancing! I've never seen the male dancer in a kilt before so it is odd to me, but the dancing is flawless.

  • @Celticwomanfanpiano I know right! His dancing is so smooth, light and just flawless...and his lines are gorgeous! I wanna see him dance with Svetlana Zakharova...:)

  • Anybody knows where I can get a CD with this version of the music??

  • La Sylphide, 1ère variation de James à l'Acte II

  • his legs move in a way that leaves me sayin "how????"

    sooooooooooooo appppppropriate

  • I love this music and the POB is just as perfect as always :) Aurelie Dupont is such an elegant dancer. Again; amazing job from POB.

  • I think Mathiu is a bit like a Japanese baseball player Hisashi Iwakuma. Both of them are hot!

  • I own this video and one from the Royal Ballet. I have a feature film screenplay called La Sylphide and am trying to connect to producers, backers, and directors who would be interested in this sort of project. A ballet within a drama.

  • does anyone know what act this is from?

  • this is the second act!

  • Ganio is magnificent - flawless technique. Perfect transition to Bournonville Style. POB stand above the rest.

  • I don't think this is Bournoville; I thought that POB had a version by Taglioni.

  • this is defo not bournonville, choreography is nothing like RB version that johan kobborg staged a few years ago

  • I meant to say that he can move from one style to another with perfect ease. It's certainly not Bournonville. I'll check out if it's Taglioni, probably is.

  • This is Taglioni version restaged by Pierre Lacotte.

  • Merci!

  • I've seen several videos of POB, and their corps de ballet never fail to amaze me!

  • What do you call that step, on 02:05/02:06, where shes strikes her foot along the floor like a match?

  • well, i thought it looked like a small brise, but it could just be dragging her foot, purposely though.

  • it seems a simply pas de bourrè...

  • Really beautiful from both dancers! The Paris Opera Ballet corps can't be beat either!

  • The beauty of these two dancers is that they make it seem so easy, as their timing and body control are magnificent.

  • I LOVE Mathieu Ganio! He is soo hot! :D

  • Not only that, he's really sweet! I sent him an email on his facebook profile, and replied back the next day! He's as close to perfect as it gets - impeccable technique, elegant, all of it. Love him.

  • Oh really? How sweet, what did you write to him if I may ask? I agree, he is so tall and slim, love his feet too, amazing.

  • PERFECT! For this style, the best. I danced this version many, many years ago. Bravo POB. Check out my new, "CASABLANCA, THE DANCE," produced by Warner Bros. and my, "Los Angeles Dance Theater."

  • Denis Ganio et Dominique Khalfouni peuvent être fiers.

Mathieu Ganio est fabuleux. Du Ciel, Rudolf Noureev doit applaudir !

  • aurelie dupont has so clean tehnic--beautiful ballerina--real primadona

  • i prefer ghislane thesmar's sylph

  • that was pretty good! they were both beautiful.

  • wow.. enchanting :P

  • you've gotta be flexible to become a ballerina??

  • cheerleading isnt better than ballet dude!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    u have 2 b joking yeah?

  • Ganio is superb in the opening solo. Such crisp, clean batterie and the precision of his steps is a joy to watch. The ballon also, is perfect for this ballet. He makes it all look so easy.

  • Magnifique! Admirable Aurélie Dupont on ne s'en lasse pas!

  • Me encanta esta bellisisma la presentacion

  • All I can say is Wow! in a good way, of course.

  • The music is very nice. Of Lovenskold. I have the piano score of it.

  • that he is song ?

  • gorgeous

  • Aurelie is fabulously beautiful! She has clear, crisp technique and a special suspended quality. Lovely. Does anyone know how tall she is? She looks small...

  • One of the best couple of dancers that i ever seen in a ballet. Aurelie has the cleanest technique of the ballet world with the best style tha a dancer can have, french obviously!

  • One of the best couple of dancer that i ever seen in a ballet. Aurelie has the cleanest technique of the ballet world with the best style that a dancer can have, french obviously!

  • questa ballerina ha veramente qualcosa di speciale...stupenda !!

  • I adore them both.

  • I love the male variation.

  • Within this art-form, La Sylphide must be the most difficult to interpret since it is its essence. I would give the world to have seen Elisabeth Platel as La Sylphide.

  • This is one of the oldest ballets!!revived by the genious of Pierre Lacotte, my guru. The original of the Romantic Ballets, danced for the first time by the greatest Marie Taglioni,I think she would be pleased with Mlle Dupont...

  • Aurelie is one of those very, very rare dancers who was actually able to penetrate the subtle mystery of this IMPOSSIBLE art form and cause us to believe that she is a sylph, in human form. She represents the pinnacle of the french style.

  • Carla Fracci was the supreme interpreter of the Romantic Style- completely transcendent. Her Giselle is a spiritual experience. And now we have the wonderful and lovely Aurelie!

  • After reading your comment, I watched again, carefully, Carla Fracci's Giselle; I thought she was thoroughly "Romantic", very beautiful. I don't think however that her own style stands the test of time; but I guess that's fine since everything changes: -- body-language, physique types, technique, etc; since our spirit evolves.

  • I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "stands the test of time". Perhaps you're suggesting it looks a bit dated; which on some level it might be. Surely art evolves, we all of us do the same, but as far as artistry and integrity, here in this case Fracci- well, in my opinion those things stand the test of time.

  • Sorry for the delay..I thought I had sent this message several days ago..but, yes that's what I meant.

  • wow...nice !!!!!!!!

(the !!s make up for the understatement of nice)

  • simply outstanding. i love aurelie

  • 2nd that!!!
