Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
Try annotating Bertrand's book by underlning his thesis statement, and marking his evidence. You will then have what you need to summarize his arguement in a logical manner that is in your own words.
@cabagecookie I am not summarizing anything and don't understand why you would think otherwise. These are Russell's exact words that he put to paper. I have not altered them or used them in a manner contrary to the original content. I have merely quoted two paragraphs which others might find interesting. Your strange dissection of the video couldn't be more unnecessary.

@RationalOutlet I know that your not summarizing anything. Your plagiarizing random paragraphs that mean nothing without the rest of book, or at least the rest of the page. If you really believe in what this guy believed in; learn how to think properly, and write appropriately.
I have already explained the fallacies in this video, and they should be self evident if you exaime them. Your bluring Bertrand's message.
PS: If you don't take as a reliable source, then google fallacies.
@cabagecookie Wait how am I plagiarizing anything? You don't understand what the word means. If you would like to critique something then know what you are talking about first. Trying to sound smart does not make you smart. Those that think they're smart are usually the exact opposite and in this case it fits you perfectly. I actually read the book and understand not only what was meant in these paragraphs, but also what the thesis of the book was.
@cabagecookie By using this same "logic" of yours any quotation standing by itself would be plagiarism and mean nothing unless it was followed by the entire book or at least its surrounding page. An actual definition of Plagiarism is : "a piece of writing that has been copied from someone else and is presented as being your own work". So unless I claimed to have written these words myself, you are completely wrong. "Excerpts from the book Why I am Not a Christian by Bertrand Russell". Well done.
When you summarize an arguement you have to include the premises of the conclusion, or else every statement will reiterate the same loose end. Generally the main points of an arguement are located after the thesis statement, which in this case is "religion and cruelty go hand in hand.".This thesis statement in an opinion if no proper evidence is provided.
There are so many premises to those statements that are missing in this clip that the title becomes a non-sequituir. In fact, nothing in those two paragraphs links fear to cruelty. Further more, the exceprt begs the question by providing no evidence for religion to be fear based, thus making the conlusion "cruelty and religion have gone hand-inhand" a fallacy.
PS: The last paragraph is hasty generalization and a stereotype.
Cruelty in inherent in our fallen nature. Fear is not parent of cruelty.

@keeyk118b You missed a step. Would you like to explain our fallen nature?
