Damn, 6 months after Otalia's ending, I'm still drawn to and caught by it.

I think we didn't get THE KISS because, as the show was ending, the writers needed every story, every couple, every character to take place in a collective pattern. To allow our girls to kiss would have placed this story in front of the others, and ruined the choral effect (for we know Otalia drew new viewers to the show).

At least that's how I see it...

I would have loved for there to be a scene in which Remy & Christina were talking about Alan. Remy remembered how he caused Tammy's Death, while Christina would say: "I would visit him at the Hospital, when he had his Heart Attack and he told me all about the horrible things he did things he did and how he wanted to change afterwards, he got his chance and he lost it."

I was hoping for a better resolution for Rafe and Olivia and his MOM but the touch at 5.00 worked. And then the way he asked her to take care of his mother was good too... I wish they had not run though that part of the story so quickly... they should have wrapped up the Edmond thing long time, let Jef stay dead so the good stories would have more time to play out.

I actually cried through out this episode. As much as I am a huge fan of Otalia, I love Guiding Light as much and they showed what soaps are all about, drama! though holy heavens why the eff can't they give us one kiss!!! It's the last week for crying out loud!!!!!

You guys completely have the right to be bitter and sad and pissed of about the non-kiss. The Otalia fanbase has been harsh for sooo long now.... But what makes me sad is that I came here to celebrate what Otalia has been for us, and I find most of you being negative. That's your undeniable right, but it's sad and if there really has been censorship (which I don't believe, but, whatever...), then it has reached its goal : make us forget how brilliant and ground-breaking Otalia has been.

The show is ending, OTALIA is ending, what brought us here is ending. What do you want to keep from this? I do want to celebrate the graveyard confession, the wedding dress scene, the bantering, the bench of love, the "latte" jewel, as well as the Stanley Kowalski scene, Nat's new determination, the moving to the farmhouse. I don't care if they don't kiss. I've seen so much lesbian "kissage" without soul, without flesh, without depth, I so much more prefer every look and every smile we had with Otalia.

I've had a deadly romantic love story, treated with the same amount of misunderstanding and twists that the others, I've watched many issues (religion, kids, recomposed family) raised and insightfully handled. Nothing has never been so powerful than this story.

And I've met the Otalia community. THAT was the real gift Otalia gave me. THAT I don't want to forget...

i´m totally with you! i´m tired of reading "shit no kiss" every day! and the storyline was never boring to me. on the contrary: they catched me more a thousand times than the l word or any other lesbian stuff out there.

I'm sooooo with the two of you too! I get the frustration, but these two actresses worked their BUTTS off, creating one of the most believable lesbian lovestories EVER shown on television out of virtually nothing.

Agreed, a kiss would've "sealed" the deal, but I wouldn't want trade the slow build-up, the secret (and not so secret) glances, the mutual adoration and their overal sensational chemistry for anything in the world. Not even a kiss...

Theirs was a beautiful, EPIC love story, *and* they had a happy ending!! I wouldn't trade it for a story where they have an explicit love scene & then one of them dies a bloody, painful death after being shot on their wedding day (Spanish soap), or where one cheats on the other (L Word, All My Children).

ITA! I never got into The L Word. Otalia is a LOVE story, not a LUST story.  Any two women can kiss, and that's exploited all the time on TV. But how often do you see a love story where two people *who both just happen to be women* find THE LOVE OF THEIR LIVES in each other? The only other time I've seen that done was w/ Xena & Gabrielle. People just seem to want soft porn all the time! But that's easy to find! Otalia's epic love story is sooo much more satisfying!!

I had that conversation with a friend of mine -one of the greatest L word-Fans and she laughed at me when I told her that for me some scenes are soft-porn-like, She finds Otalia ridiculous and unrealistic.

Hi dantzig! I will never forget what Otalia has been to us!! I had such great moments with their s/l and all the comments on the boards made me laugh a lot, great people around here. I'm thankful for that! I just wished they would have end the story as deep/intense/passionate/witty as they started it. And kissing should have been an absolute must-have here. The proper end is just missing. But I try to put that under "can't always get what you want" *sigh*and go back to some older otalia clips...

You know what was so sad. Everyone in that room in some way or another "Battled" Alan. Buzz and Frank. Olivia & Blake were either married to him or slept with him and like Natalia had him as a Father In Law. Daisy & Ashley both shot at him except that Daisy got caught. Rafe and Natalia had a "distant" relationship with him and now he's gone. Well, at least he's going to a better place and Gus will welcome him and they will go on their own Camping Trips.

Shit i am an OA too and don't know what i'm going to do when my body clock wakes me at 3am to come watch the latest clips after Friday's ep. I think it's best at this point to appreciate this great love story and forget about the visual kiss after all in the real world there is plenty going on behind the scenes.
