Well, disregarding how we were sold out by the banks, I think you will find that ROI shot up the quality of life index upon earning it's independence - being ranked second in the world only four years ago.

@MrMickroach I hate to be pedantic, but In the 2011 OECD HDI index Ireland is ranked 7th - as opposed to the UK, which is ranked 28th. Sure, it's a drop - but as I said, we were sold out by the EU and the banking sector. Devastating for a nation of 4 Million.
Newsweeks QL index ranks Ireland 15th and the UK 19th.
And my figure of 20% is correct. Also, this isn't a competition of "mine is bigger than yours". Britain is a great nation with great people.

It was the NALA who conducted the research, which was also completed in most European countries. In it, they detailed the aims of their research, as well as the results. By that same research standard the Dept. of Education in the UK discovered that 56% of Uk adults were "illiterate".

Pinnochio has condemned the Paul Quinn murder (and rightly so) and as a man of justice I am sure he will have no problem condemning the murders of teenagers David Mcilwaine and and Andrew Robb who were sliced open from ear to ear by loyalists in Portadown. I've met other credible loyalists on youtube who have actualy been able to argue a coherent point and have been able to use facts as a basis for their well structured points. Loyalist paramilitaries murders were 83% sectarian. Republicans 11% sectarian. The IMC has stated that criminality and drug dealing was 'endemic' in the UDA whilst they also stated that Sinn Fein has embraced peaceful politics. Loyalists never had the political acumen to pursue or sustain a political direction. Sinn Fein are in government. Loyalists have actually killed more loyalist paramilitaries than Republicans.
